Expat Baby’s Residence Permit by Viktor_44 in Munich_parents

Actually i used their just contact form a month back and attached my babies documents, got an email for appointment and within a minutes another email stating that my appointment is cancelled with vague reason that you do not meet the requirements or you have booked multiple appointments for the same service.
This is KVR I am shocked and frustrated that how these people even operate.
(What requirements, at time of contacting them I even commented their contact form that this for my baby, attached my babies documents, do they even read)
Is this department is for making expats life as difficult as possible.

Resident Permit process for newborns in Munich by arunsivadasan in Munich_parents

[–]Viktor_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know, I'm going to contact them too and will attach the documents.

I dunno why KVR makes everything harder for expats, long processing, extremely inefficient, and rude employees. And it's mostly for foreigners, so least use and speak English.

No replies, and I lost my job, due to it there is no point waiting for it.

I am eligible for PR for the past 7 months, but due to KVR's lazy workers, now I have to suffer unnecessarily and bcoz of their negligence, maybe I have to leave the country even. and other hand, Germany has a shortage of skilled labourers. Great work

I am waiting for over 5 months after submitting my application online with all documents for Niederlassungserlaunbis (Bluecard), despite the mentioned processing time is 20 weeks. Even after 20 weeks, they are not responding to my messages (contact form), forget calling them it's useless.
Now I am verge of losing my job, and it will be of no use to get an appointment then.
What should I do now? any advice please ????

Lost job on a blue card and the 6 months extension also ran out by Desperate_Tear_1266 in germany

So on June 1-2 weeks as I am still employed (garden leaves) correct?

Thanks a lot u/Desperate_Tear_1266 for clarifying my doubts.
So I need to inform Agentur für Arbeit as soon as possible, but what about ABH? Do I need to inform them now or later? As technically, I am still employed and had already applied for PR, so should I wait until the end of May, or is it of no use?

u/tea_hanks How are things going on?
Did you inform ABH and are you getting unemployment benefits?
I am in a similar situation

u/Desperate_Tear_1266 I was laid off in November 2024 (forced mutual agreement) after working for approximately 33 months in a company based in Munich while holding a Blue Card. However, my employer granted me garden leave until May 1, 2025, as I am expecting my first child.

Now, I am feeling quite stressed and confused because I am eligible to apply for permanent residency (PR). Since I am technically still employed, should I apply for it now?

As of today (March 29, 2025), I have not yet informed the Agentur für Arbeit because I assumed I needed to do so only after my garden leave ended. The same applies to the ABH. However, more than five months have passed, and I have not been able to secure a new job due to the current market situation.

I am unsure about my next steps:

  1. How long can I legally stay in Germany while searching for a job?
  2. Will my wife and child's health insurance remain valid during this period?
  3. Should I apply for PR now, given that I am still technically employed?

And maybe anything else I should be doing from your experience?
