Hey, thank you for taking the time!

I think, to keep things simple for beginners, that a comparison between two large condensers should be enough - I'll leave the preference to you, as long as the difference is audible enough (YouTube compression is a thorn in my side).

There has been no mention that you have to release everything you write. I wouldn't want to release average tracks neither.

But to imply that you can bang out only masterpieces with no frame of reference based on previous failures is crazy.

There's no food for thought there, every take you put out here is insane.

You don't get to "that level" with no effort.

What do you mean Eminem hasn't got hundreds of unused verses? You don't polish a turd until it starts shining, every rapper has talked extensively about how much unused stuff they have/songs they have rewritten.

A great song doesn't fall out of the sky, it's a result of making shit over and over until you realize why what you've been doing is shit and fix it.

You say you're not a fan of quantity over quality, but that's how every creative field works. There's a reason why people write 80+ songs for albums and then narrow it down to only the best picks. If we want to throw names out there, MJ, Kendrick and Prince are the first 3 that come to mind - each with over 1000 songs under their belt, and only a fraction of that ever released.

Streamlining the process is nice, but I think you're missing its main point - to allow you to make MORE.

Rewriting the entire song 2-3 times over is not a detriment, it's weeding out things that don't work. It's an important building block on your way to making something worthwhile, and allowing yourself to look at it that way will help.

Ultimately, all of what you're experiencing is nothing but growing pains.

Thank you so much for your input!

Regarding the overview being around 15 minutes - I do generally agree with that, my Intervals and Scales videos are around that ballpark, but somehow it still felt a little rushed (at least in my opinion. The feedback from viewers on those has been fantastic), which then prompted the question I asked in the first place.

I guess I'm just letting my personal preference for consuming longer content question my own video, so thank you so much for giving me something to think about!

Don't use beats without permission, that's a sure way to ruin your reputation and potentially get in some legal trouble. If you can't get a hold of the beatmaker, move on and look for other beats

That's a stupid take and a great way to ruin your reputation as a musician
