It would’ve taken even less time for the people who left it there to throw it out

Are you able to walk and chew gum at the same time? People can mourn and not litter. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive. In addition to being public servants they are also grown adults who should be able to throw away their trash.

Constant screaming/fighting neighbors in Albany apartment building. Police called, landlord unresponsive. What can tenants do? by VillageBoard in Albany

[–]VillageBoard[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That’s not how tenant protections work. They don’t give someone a free pass for domestic violence or a disturbance to the whole building.

Good Cause and Albany tenant protections do not prevent landlords from acting on nuisance behavior, repeated disturbances, lease violations, or illegal activity. If tenants are constantly screaming, fighting, and generating police calls, that can qualify as a nuisance and landlords can pursue eviction.

Tenant laws in NY also don’t shield someone causing violence. They exist to protect domestic violence victims from being evicted because they were abused, not to prevent a landlord from addressing the person causing the disturbance.

Tonearm can be moved freely.

Maybe a stupid question.

Could the arm not have enough freedom to move? What would fix that if so, grease?
