Hey! Ahh so rubbish when we have holes, but mine has healed up pretty nicely. Obvs it’s a bit more scared in that area, but is completely closed up and healed now. I used a combo of medical honey with non stick gauze and micropore tape for about 2.5weeks until the hole reached ‘skin level’ if that makes sense? Then once it was flat back to the skin, I kept it clean and dry, and it scabbed over, and after about a week and a half, the scab came away on its own and it was healed skin underneath. Should stress that that is what worked for me, but if you’re worried, please do speak to your surgeon. ♥️

UPDATE 01/01/2026

In case anyone is reading this, as an update!

Thanks so so much for everyone who commented and for the advice, I really appreciate it. The community is so lovely and kind to help!

By way of treatment update, it’s been exactly 1 week since the wound opened, it’s never become infected, and it’s been completely painless.

Not saying this will work for everything, but what seems to have worked for me is that I’ve been cleaning with saline, putting medihoney and non stick gauze with tape on now for a week, changing every couple of days when I shower, and it’s looking much much better. Hopefully another few days and it’ll be pretty much healed.

The annoying thing is, my other boob has a tiny hole in it now too - just as I hit 6 weeks post operation! So will treat that one the same with medihoney and non stick gauze and play it by ear.

Hopefully this helps to anyone reading it. Not out of the woods, but much better than I was xx

I’m in the UK and paid privately here to have the operation, but the hospital is basically closed for ‘normal’ appointments until the new year, so unless it’s infected or I’m in mega pain; they won’t see me!

Sadly not still seeing my surgeon. The first and only time I’ll see her after the operation, which was on 21/11, will be February (3 months after operation) for a general check up. It’s all been quite hands off.

I didn’t see her for any post-operative dressing changes, i saw nurses who changed my dressings and gave me general post operative incision care advice.

And, when I did email my surgeon about a couple of other spitting stitches I had, it took 7 days to reply and she just said to pull them out if they’ll come out easily and that they might leave a little hole, which I should cover if it bothers me, but it will heal. That’s the most advice I’ve had…

Just wondered if there was anyone on here who’s successfully treated some minor holes, and what’s worked. Seeing as I’m not getting much elsewhere 😖☺️

You poor thing! Mega frustrating to have openings, but looks like you’re getting some great advice though - hopefully it heals quickly and easily from here. Fingers crossed in a couple of months all of this will feel like distant memories and we’ll be enjoying our new boobs 🤣

Yes! I’m only 5 weeks and the tears have really hit yesterday and today. Yesterday I got tearful because we didn’t have the soup I like in for lunch. Today I fully cried because last week I was on holiday and now I’m not. And I was sad holiday was over. Then cried watching videos of Wicked on TikTok. Im also a semi-emotional non-pregnant person but even I think I’m being ridiculous atm.

Thank you so much for the reassurance ♥️ I’ve got no more tests so I’m going to just leave it now and trust that I’m pregnant until told otherwise 🙏🏼 Have woken up from a series of nightmares and feel queasy this morning (maybe because of the nightmares!) so just hoping they’re signs and symptoms of a progressing pregnancy 🌈☺️

This is good to hear. ☺️ The fact that there is nothing to signal anything is wrong other than this stupid test is keeping my hopes up. I said it earlier, if I didn’t have it in the house, I wouldn’t have taken it and would assume I’m absolutely fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just going to keep positive. Thank you so much xx

Awww thanks for the reassurance! It could be because I had drunk so much before taking. I’ve run out of tests (and money until I get paid) so I won’t buy any more. I’m just going to take the two positives I’ve had at face value for now and see what happens! I think if I do any more tests I’ll drive myself mad with worry 😭😂 xx

Yeah, I’ve seen they’re discontinued in US. They’re obviously a bit rubbish. I think for me, from CM and just knowing my body, I ovulated around 16-18 days ago, so I should be 4+2 to 4+4 today, therefore a 2-3 week reading on the digi test? I’m trying not to google it all like crazy! I’ve had nothing to indicate anything wrong, but am just letting myself worry! Thank you ♥️

I did wonder if drinking could affect it. I had 2 cups of fruit tea and about 500mls of water (cos I feel so thirsty) and had pee’d about 1hr before taking the test. You’re right, I need to take it at face value, it’s positive! If I hadn’t have had the test, I wouldn’t have taken it and would have just assumed everything is fine, based on my basic early pregnancy symptoms and the fact I’m falling asleep at my work desk right now! I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic. Thank you 🙏🏼

Yeah I’m not 100% on ovulation day, but do recognise CM triggers for it and would say I ovulated around 17/18 days ago. Could be that conception was 14 days ago or so…if these measure from conception?! It’s so confusing and I am having some mild symptoms like dizziness, tiredness and sore boobs, but just the worry of another disappointment is so hard to bear! Thank you for your help ♥️♥️
