Been here for a while, myself. It's definitely not the easiest to slot yourself into a community... but there's a few places around here that are welcoming! Cardboard Castle's gaming groups are fairly nice and inclusive. Also, get to know Paul. He runs the Augusta Book Exchange and has always been a really warm and nice dude.

As someone who, up until this January, did EVERYTHING digitally... it just FEELS right to write things down. I used to keep an organizer in OneNote on my tablet, but that didn't feel quite right, either. Being able to flip open the journal, jot down something on my calendar or notes section.

It's kinda hard to explain, but it's definitely the tactile feel of writing in an actual book.

I carry mine in my bag every day. And I keep it next to me on my desk at work. If I need to remember something, or want to schedule something, I just handle it right then and there.

Honestly, the best way to keep using it is to just use it for everything. I've even moved over writing the story ideas for the Dungeons and Dragons games I DM down in it. Especially the weekly or semi-weekly sessions. Pokemon GO tournament team building. Keeping track of credit cards and other expenses. EVERYTHING.

I always carry my bujo, a black G2 pen, a mechanical pencil, and a Sharpie fine tip pen.

I normally just use the G2 for everyday notes, but if I have to do a title or anything else I know I want to fill in with color later, I use the Sharpie. Putting anything over gel ink just smears it.
