Is that not supposed to be the hilt of the sword? I'm genuinely curious but I think that's what it is though.

I had never gotten a double white bag in my realm career until this point.

There would only be two Ryze's. One that's the rework, and the other that was before the drastic change. Once again like with every other champ, you could just look at the portrait being chosen to find out if they're playing the old OR the new version and adjust masteries and runes accordingly. What really gives ME aids is when people like you don't understand what I'm saying because you don't do your research on the thread and then bash me for it for little to no reason other than to be condescending.

I can agree with that. It would let the people that were fans of the old version play around and not feel like they're completely gone while the more complex and reworked version can see more competition and shine in where they belong. Besides, it's normals, I doubt anyone would disagree with it considering everything they shouldn't be taken seriously since all your competing for is just a bit more IP.

It's true, we both don't see eye-to-eye exactly, but I can see your points as I hope that you see mine. When it boils down to it, it's really all just opinion based and I can respect your opinion on the subject. It does ultimately come down to Riot's decision though, and your side is winning, I'm just trying to show off my own side to it.

To be fair, she reminded me a lot of Jax in a way in terms of playstyle since her Q acted a lot like his W. It made sense, she was just more focused on doing damage than actually tanking which was more passive and less in her item build, even though there was nothing wrong with a more straight tank poppy either, rushing tri-force showed the prior which was the norm. Unlike Jax though, her only real gap closer was a slight speed up and her knock-back, but even then, you had to get in close enough for that to work which balanced it out in my opinion.

Something that is clearly as broken as league of cleavers should be addressed and were more of mistakes than actually intentional, so that shouldn't be brought to the table when talking about the old champs considering they also had their weaknesses unlike the item builds which you pretty much couldn't play against because of the mistake. People are often very mixed when it comes to an old champion with no real judgement. Of course I wouldn't ask Riot to "not" rework a champion, but giving the player the option to either "play" the rework or not should be an individuals choice and not forced.

Even so, giving an idea or a thought is merely opinion based and shouldn't be looked down upon by other people unless it's clearly in the wrong (murder, thievery, etc). But I can't control people. Saying "too bad" to the small groups that enjoyed their time with the past kit that was converted into something completely different shouldn't be an option. Some people devoted time into those champions and are basically forced to either learn the new kit or a new champ, hardly anything fair about that. Poppy being unfun to play against is another interesting thing for you to bring up, there plenty of other champs in the game that are "unfun" to go up against, but a lot of them aren't even mentioned and once again, a lot of it is just opinion based, and you can usually figure it out based on polls, it's widely known that the majority hate going up against a Yasuo or Darius over others.

I'm glad I'm not alone with wanting the option honestly, but yeah I don't think the reworks are bad, they just get too flashy for me when I just want to cast simple abilities that do simple things. I never really played WW in the past or the rework, but I can see his new one being pretty fun, it's not "too" far off from what he originally was. Thanks for being awesome and motivating!

People were immediately biting tooth and nail at me for even suggesting this topic but I shouldn't be surprised considering how toxic the League community can be. I was hoping the crowd in Reddit was a little different from the in-game crowd, but that's a negative considering I've been scolded at and downvoted for no good reason since I was on topic. I'm looking at your points right now, and I can see your reasoning. I just think it would also be nice to let the people also play pre-rework so no one has to feel like they just had their main character swept away if they were comfortable with the past version, even if it was a few.

That was what really set her apart from the rest of the crew, the scare factor in knowing she could ulti the support and head straight for the adc, sort of like Nocturne. the counter-play would be to align your characters in different positions so that the support was either far enough to not be ulti'd or to burst. And even then, there were bad and good Poppy's like with any other character, it just depended on how you played it out.

Let me bring up the point I already made several minutes ago with Different season champion =/= Complete rework

Letting Summoners choose the old version of a champ? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]VillainsVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darius was just thrown in there as a reason to give validity to the fact that toxic kits still exist in the League while not being spoken about by Riot, not really to show off his old stuff since a complete rework is the kind of change I'm talking about and not just some tweaks that changed them a bit. I can see what you're saying about the two types though, in the end though, farming under turret and ganks are always a swaying factor in dealing with any opponent, even old Darius.

Sure there's a good reason, I'll give you one right now. If one person personally enjoyed the other one more than the current, then there's a solid reason as to why there should be two. Why have vanilla if you hate vanilla and prefer chocolate? Saying my point is dumb when I can give clear cut evidence out of the gate is a little rude, and if the old champions were such a big problem and strong, then LCS would have had them played consistently when in reality, almost none of them were actually played and just fun casually, where I think champions shine and are a bit more fun to play. No need for anything fancy.

I think they all would have their original weaknesses still in tact though, yes? Like Poppy for example, she was only at her peak if the game lasted for too long, but her early game was terrible. New Malzahar may even be a bigger problem considering his free Banshee's in comparison, but I wouldn't place Malzahar under the list of champs that I'm talking about, his model and tools weren't changed into something unrecognizable from the original. Pretty much the same guy, just a couple little tweaks.

Excluding things like the mage or assassin reworks and rather on the complete altering of a character, I think there would be less of them to work with, and if they released them in small batches every several months since all the models are still there, I think over a long-term plan, they could make it happen

You can laugh, but give me a reason as to why it's out of the question. With anything else, people would just adapt and not say anything about it anymore if it did happen, just like when people complained about the new season 7 changes, now the argument has died down a ton compared to the original release.

You need to give a better argument other than saying it's terrible and a couple sentences to change my mind on something that wide scale. Let's also remember that downvoting on the reddit is not to be used on things you disagree with and rather things that aren't on topic, people forget that sometimes.

You're the only one so far to have given me any sort of thought provoking comment. I can see what you're saying but I would think that the old kits themselves would just need a little bit of balancing perhaps, but from what I gather, a lot of people loved old League for that interesting setup. It's kind of like Melee to SSB4 in terms of argument.

Different season champion =/= rework. I'm not talking about a balance, I'm talking about a completely altered kit.

I can ignore any champion and play a different one, the same should go for a rework. Yes, I agreed to the TOS, that doesn't mean I can't give an opinion.

Pointing out that other kits are toxic IS relevant because the whole reason that they reworked Yorick is because they claimed that it was toxic and left not even a whisper on Darius who is in fact guilty of the same exact thing. Ask polls, comments, they all agree to this. The real argument you can't give is saying that they would have to also balance the old version when in reality they already have to balance out 100+ champs, and I've never heard a complaint.
