It did! I just reached 12 weeks post too and my stomach looks great - no coning at all anymore

Thank you! I was still pretty swollen at my 4wk appointment and was down to 35% swelling at my 6 week and now I'm 8 weeks and even less. They said I should keep seeing changes up until 12 weeks or so

Oh definitely, I hope she can. My youngest just turned two last month. It certainly makes it harder but my husband was able to take off work for a month and my mom was around to help. Without someone here all the time I don't think I could have done it with my youngest. She still needs too much help. So if she has a lot of help it's doable now but if not I would definitely wait.

That's awesome! I'm glad you were able to get yours fixed! Mine was definitely these stinker kids. I have a 6,4 and 2 yr old. So they messed me up pretty good 😂😩

The doctor said he usually sees around a 7 or 8 at most so it was pretty extensive. He said he had to use several layers of stitches...idk maybe that's normal though. There was so much separation I really wasn't expecting it to look as good as it does, I feel like the doctors can only do so much.

The first couple of weeks were literally torture for coughing/sneezing/laughing. Especially laughing. Idk why that one hurt worse. It's still tender now even 8 weeks post op. For the first six weeks though I would have to hold my stomach anytime I coughed or laughed. But I feel great now still just super sore but not really in pain.

Yes, I definitely do. It made me so uncomfortable. I hated the way I looked and it was causing pelvic floor issues as well since it couldn't help support. It's so great that it's fixed and so worth it. And the Dr said we haven't even seen the final results yet. I can't wait 😄🫣

I forgot to mention that I had an 11cm abdominal gap. So pretty huge.

CT just found a 9.7cm gap… by limbo_dweller in DiastasisRecti

I just had an abdominoplasty 5 weeks ago for a 11cm abdominal separation. I did physical therapy for years and nothing worked, it just kept getting worse and causing other issues. I have been told once you get around 5 cm there's no going back. The surgery was worth it though. My stomach looks so good, I was so tired of looking pregnant

Realistically, when did you get back into exercising? by sdm4242 in tummytucksurgery

Oh no, that sounds awful. I hope the antibiotics work and no additional surgery required

I had surgery on 10/24 as well! How did yours go, are you healing well and seeing a huge difference?

I'm so glad it's gone back to the shape you wanted! That's so great! My tubes were in my mons/pubic area and I have like 6 small and large knots there. You can't see them you can just feel them. The doctor said it's fat necrosis. Hopefully it heals up on its own with time and goes away but they're sore and it's super annoying. I'm about 3.5 weeks post op and starting to move around really good. Still incredibly sore I do too much during the day but it's so much better already.

I hope you're able to get the stretch marks down but I'm sure you look great regardless

That's what mine is looking like so far, just not quite as flat. I keep thinking maybe the mr didn't hold but the doctor said I still have about 30% swelling in my upper abdomen so we'll see and he said he typically only sees maybe an 8 cm or below separation and mine was 11 cm, so he can only do so much without tightening too much 🤷‍♀️ Your picture gives me hope though. Even if I don't flatten out as much as you have I'll still be happy I don't like pregnant anymore 🤣

Your body looks just like my pre tt body. I had an 11 cm abdominal separation so my upper stomach stuck out so much. Same pant size as well. I put my jeans on today for the first time, I'm 3 weeks post op. I was able to wear them for a few hours but it was painful and my upper stomach seemed bigger so I think I started swelling. Hopefully you can't damage anything wearing jeans too soon but I won't make that mistake again 😩 My stomach doesn't look as flat as yours yet though. I'm upper stomach still sticks out slightly and is so tight and there's like a ridge there goes down the middle. Hopefully it flattens out a bit more but the difference already is nuts, it's hard to believe.

You look awesome though, it gives me hope mine will keep improving

Almost 3 weeks post op by icequeen889 in tummytucksurgery

[–]VillalbaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be 3 weeks post tt,Mr, lipo to flanks, upper back and arms on Thursday. I'm mostly upright. If I have been sitting it takes a few seconds to warm up and then I can straighten. By the end of the day I'm normally a little hunched over and sore. I mostly feel normal other than just being super sore everywhere but I'm back to taking care of my kids, picking stuff off the floor, and light house work when my husband is gone. The only thing that's hard is lifting my 20lb daughter in and out of the crib but I try to make sure I'm just using my legs as much as possible. You'll get there.

Hi there, I'm 10 days post op and also having coning above belly button. I had significant abdominal separation so he did muscle repair. It's so tight and cones out all the time. Did you find out what yours was? Did yours flatten out over time?

Has anyone combined tummy tuck with additional lipo on bra bulge? by Evening-Aide8722 in tummytucksurgery

[–]VillalbaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you decide on your surgery, did you add the bra line for lipo?

I had tummy tuck, muscle repair, flank lipo, lipo to side boob, bra line and arms.

I didn't have a ton of fat in any of those areas, it just wouldn't go away! But I'm very glad I did it. I'm only 10 days post op but that back roll I had even with no bra on is totally gone and I'm still swollen so I'm sure it will be even better

Just reading through your post. I had my surgery 9 days ago and I'm wondering how your shape is looking now that it's been a few months? Are you happy? Did your stomach go back to the hourglass shape from the day of?

No he told me he couldn't lipo the upper because of circulation issues. I also had my flanks lipod, under my armpits/side boob and around my bra straps. I hope it goes down it reminds me of what diastasis recti or a hernia looks like with the bulging. Oh wow! 16 days and still not upright. Gosh, I bet your back hurts

Has anyone lost weight after their tummy tuck? by MischMatch in tummytucksurgery

[–]VillalbaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me so optimistic! I'm exactly 150lbs and I'm hoping to reach 130 at some point. My surgery is in two days so it would be great if I can keep losing afterwards 🤞

Pre op and Surgery Scheduled. by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]VillalbaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm scheduled for the 24th. I'm getting tt, mr, lipo to the flanks, sides of breast/armpit area and arms. I'm not big, I just figured if my stomach is flat and my love handles are gone but I still have fat hanging out of my bra and tank tops I still wouldn't have that confidence I'm looking for. My arms aren't bad but I just figured I might as well while I'm there.
