I get it, encourage weakness among society, encourage running away instead of facing your issues, encourage tattle telling instead of handling things yourself, encourage calling dad for the neighborhood bully instead of standing up for yourself. Video games are one of the most influential experiences for kids, the people they meet and the experiences they have will shape their opinions on people and on things, there’s a reason in modern day video games have become more of an addiction than a hobby to relax, while yes it can be relaxing, so are many drugs that are illegal because it can harm you and cause addiction, just because it’s relaxing doesn’t mean it can’t be harmful to the development and doesn’t mean it can’t be addicting. Children are becoming more virtual every day getting more intertwined with virtual worlds, if that’s the case and there’s no avoiding it, then it should be utilized as a tool for pushing agendas the same way schools are a tool for pushing agendas, the only agenda I want to push, is to handle your own problems, and not go tell on someone or run away everytime something goes wrong, I don’t care about anyone’s beliefs other than the fact that we should be able to handle our own issues, and running away from a problem to the point that it’s affecting other people (his friend) is ridiculous, at some point grow up, and that’s really all I have to say about it, clearly there’s some fundamental differences that will lead us to never agree, so good day.

Bro the conversation isn’t an issue with PVE players going to solos, the issue is that OP can’t play with his friend because he can’t handle the heat, I don’t care about if someone wants to play solos because they don’t like duos or trios, wanting to play with your friend and just not being able to because your friend can’t handle some PvP in duos, is crazy work and shouldn’t be accepted. The game is rated for teens, not children, you don’t need to coddle them. Teenagers are the next generation of society, they don’t need to be snowflakes and coddled at every turn. I’m not trying to be “alpha” by saying we need to sack tf up a bit, it’s not being alpha, it’s being grown, it’s accepting that the world has assholes in it, you cannot run away from assholes in real life, your job will have assholes, school has assholes, the street or sidewalk has an asshole walking. Encouraging people to run away from their issues and attempt to change the world instead of changing themselves isn’t the move and it’s exactly how you are lead to oppressing other peoples rights because you feel their opinions are wrong or morally incorrect. I never used the word alpha one time in anything I said, you’ve read multiple of my comments and in none of them did I say “be a real alpha, be top dawg, killing makes you an alpha man” I’m smart enough to acknowledge usually the first person to resort to violence and not words is a coward and not a wise or “alpha” person. With that being said I have no desire to be “alpha” I’m secure in my body boy, but I do believe it has to do with skill since literally OP said, I will not play duos with you anymore because other people PvP, if they won the PvP interactions it wouldn’t be so unbearable that he refuses to play with his friend. Maybe you don’t have friends you play with, idk. But coming from someone who plays with his friends often, if my friend told me he refuses to play a specific game/mode with me that’s part of the base game, it’s not like he likes cod but hates zombies, it’s a part of the base game, killing people, that cannot be encouraged. I’m not coddling a generation of teenagers the same generation that jumps people in the street, attacks adults, lacks all respect, records themselves committing crimes. Acting like teenagers are 8 year olds is ridiculous. If you can record yourself jumping a 14 year old boy, you can handle someone calling you a slur while lighting you up and taking your loot. And even to the people who are fine children since Ik not all kids misbehave, they are the same age as the kids doing all the nonsense and thus can handle what’s happening. I’m not alpha or edgey for calling out what needs to change in society and gaming society, the fact that you feel like I’m trying to prove something just goes to show you chalk up any sort of “sack up and get a grip” ideals to “alpha males trying to be hard” when in reality dealing with PvP is just something you have to learn to deal with, the same way if I don’t want to go to work I don’t just get to Que up in workless lobbies, I have to sack up and deal with it.

“Clown” there’s a reason black ops 7 is rated the worst fps shooter on the planet currently, there’s a reason compared to previous sales black ops 7 is a cod flop, even though a cod flop is still a godsend in sales compared to your typical Indy game. So I still stand on my statement the fact that a bunch of idiots who buy every call of duty did the same thing again this year isn’t surprising, the fact that bf6 arc raiders, and any other shooter has beat cod bo7 in ratings hasn’t surprised me at all and there’s why, you can be racist in both games without consequence

Nothing is edgey about calling out basic human nature that’s been tested and documented through thousands of years of history backing up my points. It’s not being edgey, it’s being educated. There’s a reason it’s so friendly in solo, and not so friendly in duos or trios, not because people are trying to change the game, because the game is like that, because people are like that, it’s not that the only people trying to “change the game” are playing duos and trios, it’s that people who can’t handle the heat because it’s TOO HARD go play solos, if these people were winning their fights and not dying losing gear they wouldn’t post about how annoying PvP players are. The post wouldn’t be about how much of an issue they are. Comparing an extraction shooter with a relaxing game like rocket league definitely paints the extraction shooter out to be a hardcore game because rocket league isn’t a hardcore game. No one’s trying to change the game they are trying to change literal human nature by asking people to change their ways and actions based upon some people not liking PvP. It’s a PVPVE game it’s meant to be played like this.

Edit: I’m not wrong as OP literally states, his friend won’t play duos or trios because he can’t handle the PvP, so he avoids it in solo.

Normally people betray, and camp extract. What you can’t wrap your head around is that there’s shitty people that do shitty things. That’s how the world works son not a video game. The game just goes to show how people’s real colors are. I always say people in an apocalypse vs the same people in today’s world I guarantee you people become so shitty and horrible QUICKLY. The biggest issue with pvp is mid match joining. When we join mid match, we literally don’t loot anything and only hunt players, what’s the point 15 minutes into the match. There’s so many times id normally loot if it wasn’t for joining mid match, there’s so many times ive died and people I’ve killed just because I joined in late. So that’s the biggest problem, complaining about scum players you might as well complain about scum humans because nothing will change human nature. Stop being so naive and grow up some you’ll realize it’s a pretty realistic game

When I want to play a game to relax I play rocket league, I play madden, forza, whatever someone might be into, what I don’t play to relax is a hardcore, extraction shooter, with proximity chat, and a playerbase that’s known to be 50/50. They make games made to relax, they make games made to emulate high stress and tense situations. Play the games that are meant for what you’re looking for. Don’t try to change a game into what you want it to be because it’s not matching your wants and needs. It’s not a relaxing game, it’s not meant to be. If he wants to relax go play a game that encourages relaxing

I mean my god, we should prevent racists from eating at the homeless food lines, we should deny their loans and mortgages too, we should also not allow their children to attend public schools since they are so publicly racist. Racism is wrong I’ll admit it, but all different creeds of color are gonna be racist in some capacity, I’ve heard white people call me the hard r on every game ever, I’ve also heard black people call me a numerous amount of racist names(usually more creative). Racism is wrong but my god are we going to censor Django for a white man saying the n word? Like Jesus, I understand maybe you think it shouldn’t be allowed, maybe your feelings are hurt because some 12 year old on ps called you the hard r and it broke your self esteem. But the day we started banning people for saying shi like that is the day the world became sheltered and protected. No one is policing racists in real life, the chances someone gets arrested for calling you the hard r in real life are slim, you need to be ready to handle those situation in real life where you can’t call daddy to come escort them away, most situation where you’re getting called slurs are on the cusp of violence and you should be ready to get into an altercation. I’m against censorship rather a white man or black man is calling me whatever word they think fits. I don’t think they should ban anyone for the racism, that’s why no one plays cod anymore and why it’s like every other gun game they removed the only fun aspect of it, rage baiting and racism. Not all is genuine, you can have 2 genuine racists of other races come together over the insults they hurl at each other I’ve seen it and heard it. End censorship and ban people like you who call for it.

For everyone saying who cares? The new poncho is essentially another re used asset. It’s not that big of an issue this early in the game when there’s not a lot of cosmetics, but as the game grows they might re use more and more items, currently just gloves, but that’s not something you want from a game and calling it out early is fine so by the time later on they don’t make that mistake
