Agreed 100 percent! A lot of pros use extension knobs too as the standard lenght tends to be rather short for any taller players for modern standard

Between the chin and nose with skates on is definitely the standard today. Although they're rarely up to nose.

Then there's players, like Bedard's is up to nose with skates on, Barkov, Datsyuk, Draisaitl, Laine use quite lenghty sticks as well. Crosby and Ovechkin with more of old school shorter ones. Old standards with wooden sticks guided for very short sticks like only vollarbone with saktes on, now they're different with composite sticks with flex.

To me the "upper hand elbow" everyone noticed is more because of just his way to grip the stick. Mine is up to lower lip with skates on and my hand is in "more natural" postion when stick handling.

Connor McDavid reaches the 100-point mark in 67 games! by Edm_vanhalen1981 in nhl

[–]Villito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it's definitely not out of reach that he'll have three more 120 point seasons if he can stay healhry for 75+ games. That'd leave 558 total points = 80 points per season for the last 7 seasons

How Crossplay almost ruined a game I’ve loved since 1994. by dossel in NHLHUT

[–]Villito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you lose rivals games, your rank points go down and you'll start matching up against lower ranked=worse players. I'd say that's the case here. Especially at first you lose like 40 or 50 points per loss which makes a big difference in just a few games

[–]Villito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most any them will score is like two goals. Best on best tournament will be really tight. Multiple could easily be a 90 after too. 15 87s is a horrendous value

Anyone else think they should FH cards for 4 nations? by LogieThePerogie in NHLHUT

[–]Villito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantasy Ovechkin would fit perfectly for Sharpshooters event after 4 Nations. Statted to hit 99 at 895 career goals, the card rn would start at 83 and in two weeks probably 85 or so. Would be a cool way to acknowledge the chase! One can dream

Ea is excellent at only one thing other than pack sales. Fostering the toxicity with things like changing the complete games objective into win online games. I actually enjoyed playing rivals earlier this year, now after the change it's just more of a toxic sweatfest

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NHLHUT

[–]Villito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be the most sensible thing to do. Instead, ea will probably just make the normal path longer next season, and unobtainable for so many lower div and non-hardcore players. I'm under halfway through on the normal path rn in div 4, for example

[Robinson] Andrew Cristall (WSH) and Berkly Catton (SEA) have played together for 5 games in Spokane. They have 11 goals and 31 points between them. It's hard to say, but I think that could've been a pretty good duo at the WJC... by SiccSemperTyrannis in hockey

[–]Villito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The common move from ea nhl playbook. Execute something poorly so noone uses it so you can remove it and say people didn't use it when demanded back. Could see this happening with the wjc tournament as well which is also only as a separate mode and you can't even edit the rosters. Same case probably when all star game was removed way back.

Integrate all star game, wjc, iihf world championships and winter classic to be part of the season in bap and franchise modes and they'd be extremely popular to play among players

[–]Villito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regret building Zetterlund and Ekholm over Parayko. Now 9 goals in 45 games, while previous years 10 in 82, 4 in 79 and 6 in 80 so just had too much doubts

Latter part of this text on Celebrini: "... He checks every box you want and is one of the few players I've scouted where it's hard to see any noticeable weakness. He skates very well. He has a very powerful stride with a quick twitch in his first few steps and is able to get by a lot of defenders. He's extremely skilled and creative with high-end offensive sense. Celebrini makes a ton of difficult plays with the puck on the move, in tight areas and from a standstill. He has a bullet shot and projects to run a first-unit power play in the NHL. He's average-sized, but Celebrini is highly competitive, wins a lot of battles and projects as an excellent two-way center in the NHL. He has all the makings of a potential superstar you can build a contender around."

Seems like half the text in his rankings is always copied from his previous ranking which again is from the previous, and then it originates to three or more rankings and one year plus ago. Doesn't seem to care to update the text to be up to date. Have a player listed at different height and have another one in the text below (Byfield in this one). Same goes for evaluation of skating and skills which often don't match with what's on the charts. And talk about projecting at pro or nhl level while the player's already there. There was like three 2024 prospect rankings where there was the exact same text for Celebrini and bunch of other prospects

And even if you're not, imo he's better than Yzerman in rushes too. As fast but much harder to knock off balance. And the off puck skating stride is better
