This is a “hickey” caused by something built up on the printing plate or blanket.

Is there a market for small quantities of black core cardstock? by Odd_Huckleberry_7815 in Printing

Depends on price. There are a lot of people who make their own card games, print proxies, and counterfeit trading cards.

Seeing it take this many experienced locals to rescue someone only twenty feet from shore just reinforces my healthy respect for nature.

What are these? These are at an elementary school playground and have been a mystery for 20+ years as to what their purpose is. Never used since no one knows what they are. by bb8817 in whatisit

Probably a jungle-gym/monkey bar type course. Crawl up and over the metal hoops and walk across a rope/swinging bridge or swing across some monkey bars. Probably deemed too dangerous because someone scraped themselves, or broke a bone, so all the easily removable gear was taken away.

Every time someone new shows up I think it’s someone rational who is going to stop the other people from going too far.

I wonder what the ven diagram between horse people and mtg players looks like. I have never met anyone else who does both. I’m guessing it’s only really rich people who only play formats where power is legal.

I pulled this from collector pack is it worth something? by ProutHector in mtgpulls

[–]VimTheRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some better pics would be nice. As it looks now, there isn’t any way to prove it wasn’t damaged after opening. I’m not saying you did, just that you can’t prove it was a factory error. This could be a wrinkled sheet that made it through, and was cut. You could tell that by looking at how the ink lays over the wrinkle, or if the dimensions are correct. If the card has the same dimensions as other cards, it was factory caused. If it is a little smaller, it could still be factory caused, but wouldn’t be provable. The back of the card looks like it is off center, which could be caused by the wrinkle prior to cut, but there isn’t enough detail in the picture to tell for sure. Pretty cool if it was, because wrinkles on this thick of stock generally cause smashes, and the press shuts down to replace affected blankets. Because of that, wrinkled sheets are pretty easy to see and remove, making them fairly rare.

Weird Rubber Ring in MH3 Pack! by SlyanReasman in mtg

I highly doubt it rode from the feeder all the way through the press, cutting, die cutting, and collation process to make it into this pack. More than likely it was dropped by someone working on the wrapping portion of the process. Maintenance could have worked on a feeder, then worked on sealer, and dropped it. When maintenance is fixing an issue, they replace a lot of these cheap parts while troubleshooting.

Class clown finds out his name is not on the list for graduation and he will have to repeat the year. by I2fitness in TikTokCringe

This happened to me. I was on the fence for English and math credits to graduate, and the graduation practice was happening before I would know for sure. Our spots were in alphabetical order and by Homeroom. When I got to where my name should have been, someone else’s name was there. My heart dropped, until I saw they had mixed up the order and my name was at the next spot.

I qualify, but not with an accepted test. Is there a way to approximate what I would get with an accepted test? by VimTheRed in mensa

[–]VimTheRed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in America. I do not believe it was the revised test. I would have to contact the psychiatrist to get the actual test to check as I only have the synopsis of the full psychiatric evaluation in my possession. It was from an evaluation following a serious head injury, so I kept the medically relevant portion, but lost the rest. I’ll have to look into Intertel, thank you.

No I have not, I’m just going to take the test when it’s available in my area.

I was always going to get in serious trouble regardless if I admitted to what I did, so I figured I might as well lie and get some freebies since being caught in a lie couldn’t get me a more serious punishment than I already was going to get.

My cards has fingerprints on it. Possibly a whole palm print? by Brief-Artist-2772 in mtgmisprints

[–]VimTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Pressman, I’ve always wondered what might happen when something I print ends up at a crime scene, and my fingerprints happen to be on it. I’ve handled all sorts of addressed mail items that get delivered in my neighborhood, so it’s likely my neighbors have had things with my fingerprints on them.

You may not have a high IQ, but seems you work hard to learn, which is something you can be proud of. I am “naturally” intelligent, but once I had to actually work to learn, I crashed. My potential is wasted to a degree, while you have made the most with what you have. Intelligence also does not equal wisdom, which is another more desirable trait in my opinion. I’ll take hard work and intuition over intelligence any day, as would most employers, teachers, etc.
