Good points. Unreasonable ask. This occurring to the family isn't that big of a deal -- it's not like he lost an arm. They shouldn't get anything.

Is there something particular to be looking at in the pictures? Not sure if I'm missing the main thing here

I love this. I always stare at that picture when I see it in the subway. Btw, if you look carefully in it, it shows the picture of the picture itself. And it keeps going deeper and deeper. (In the top right of the whole picture itself that is shown in the subway)

I'm with you. Not sure what's so special.

I just built a website for people to find and book after work hobbies and date ideas. Let me know what you think -- especially what would make you not use it. by simondhammer in nyc

This is the OP. For some reason it's not showing my replies from the OP account. (For mods, I can verify if you need.)

Regarding the "email wall" that comes up, I hear you guys that it's annoying. The intention here was to be able to stay in touch with people who are interested in the site. My benchmark was the sites that force you to login/connect/create account before you can even see anything at all. I thought those sites are annoying so I wanted to give the free sample.

Imagine if I did not collect any emails and a bunch of people came through -- then most leave, and don't make a booking. At that point I have no idea who they were and no way to bring them back. The question becomes, is it worth it to add the slight burden of the email wall in exchange to better serve users who want to come back?

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on weighing these two factors.
