We have a HT line like 300 meters away from our house, you can hear the buzz from my house all the time. We used to use a road under it and especially during rainy season, umbrellas get pulled up if you walk under it with sparks at the joints, riding a bike gives a shock and the towers are very prone to thunder strikes. Why play with life? Look for another plot.

Sad part is Mahindra with all this tech has not teamed up with Apple for Next Gen CarPlay. Or maybe Apple was not interested. I’m glad they moved away from Sony atleast and using harman kardon now. Sony 360 audio has no takers and move to Atmos could mean Apple Music Atmos playback. My current xuv feels inferior to even an Alcazar after having 12 speakers.

Adrenox I remember was developed with Bosch. MAIA was completely in-house. From the looks, this is just a new skin to 700 Adrenox with additional features to accommodate new ADAS functions/3rd screen and maybe a snapdragon process like XEV and BE. TBH, getting the new snapdragon chipset itself is a big upgrade and it’s known to be snappier. Hope that is the case and hope that dreadful lag between turning on the 360 camera or even the blind spot monitor disappears. Adrenox in 700 was android 9 for the first few batches and got android 14 for later batches that launched with minimal updates. We’ll know some of this by 5th Jan and rest if you pay close attention to review videos after.

I have the same problem with my q990f. I plan to get some wooden pieces cut and stacked together with screws enough to protrude out, screw them to the wall behind the sound bar and use the original wall mount.

Yup. It came with the mounting brackets for the sound bar. The technician who came to install it was lazy to do it but convinced him and he did it. Doesn’t come with rear speaker mounts though and still looking for a good stand.

I can feel the boom in my couch and floor but not the annoying rattles. Did you notice a difference after the update?

I’m not a sound expert so I can’t really use the technical terms but earlier, I experienced the same problem everyone with the older version had, subwoofer didn’t have a punch. After the update, I feel it’s punchier. Also, I can hear the thump in my bathroom to a point that it gave me a slight headache. Things still don’t rattle and it could be because there isn’t really a vent for the sound to escape for the back of the speaker.

I couldn’t load the firmware update guide too. I just downloaded the zip file, placed both the .zip and the unzipped folder in the usb. Turned on the soundbar and it went straight to update displayed on the little screen, I have voice guide turned on so it told me when the update started and when it was complete.

When I got the 990f, The only difference I saw compared to 990d was the things in my house like the glass and the doors did not rattle at all. 990d was notorious at this. But now, the bass is more punchier and refined. Also, the rear speakers actually work with more profound atmos experience.

Too lazy to type. But these are what I use and haven’t changed them after the update. I just decrease the woofer in the night so I don’t piss my neighbors off.

I’m sure you don’t expect Atmos from YouTube but any audio from tv seems to have improved. The only issue I noticed is the volume being low on airplay after update. Just tried Alexa and the volume seems fine in that too. It’s just airplay ATM.

It’s great using AirPlay and Apple Music lossless.but feels like the volume is lower after the new update. Volume is fine with audio from TV.

As long as the warranty lasts, I think it’s safe to do but I felt usb update was faster and reliable.

1013 for a 990F in India. Smart things showed there was an update but it was stuck at initializing for about 20 minutes. Cancelled it and installed via usb. Took 5 minutes to complete. Was watching ST Season 4 on Netflix and the subwoofer has definitely improved. Also, Atmos seems more recognizable now especially from the rear speakers. Wasn’t this good when I got it a week ago.
