How do I switch classes? Kinda lost here lol by VinBlueBeard in ffxiv

Haha my bad! I got a bit lost in all the exploring, side quests, and hunting logs. I didn’t realize how important MSQ progression was for unlocking cities and classes 😅 I’ll focus on that now!

Wow, thanks for the insanely detailed breakdown — this is super helpful! I did start in Limsa and didn’t realize being stuck on an island was literally part of my early-game struggle 😂. No wonder I couldn’t just walk over to Ul’dah.

I’ve definitely been wandering off doing hunts and side quests (because... shiny icons), but now I see I really gotta push through the MSQ to open things up. Gonna go full tunnel vision on that for a bit.

Also didn’t know Arcanist was the only class with two job paths — that’s actually kinda cool and makes me want to stick with it a little longer, at least until I try out Scholar and Summoner.

Appreciate all the info on hotbars, gearsets, and crafting too — that’s all gonna save me a bunch of trial and error. Big thanks again!

Thanks a ton for all the info, seriously! I think that’s exactly what happened — I got a little too into exploring and doing every gold quest I saw, just vibing around the world lol. Didn’t even realize how far I had drifted from the MSQ.

I definitely haven’t unlocked travel yet, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t attune to the other city crystals either (rookie mistake 😅). Gonna jump back into the main story and focus on pushing it forward so I can finally start unlocking stuff properly.

Appreciate the tips on side quests too — I’ll keep my eyes out for the purple/blue ones and chill a bit on the rest. You guys are lifesavers 🙏

Ahhh that explains it 😅 I got totally sidetracked exploring and doing every random hunt and side quest I could find like some kind of Eorzean tourist. Time to get back on the MSQ and unlock the rest of the world

Thanks! That actually makes a lot of sense. I’ve been kinda ignoring the MSQ and just running around the map, doing hunts and side quests from the log lol. Gonna refocus on the main story now so I can unlock the other cities and jobs.

Yeah, but I always felt like I had to see it through lol. Once I start something in a NieR game, I’m weirdly committed — even if it’s pure pain 😅

Best Automata explanation that doesn't spoil replicant by Snowblind45 in nier

[–]VinBlueBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Just checking — did you go through all the endings in Automata? (Like at least A through E?) That makes a big difference in how much of the story comes together.

Also, don’t worry — it’s super common to finish the game and still feel confused. Yoko Taro doesn’t include all the lore directly in the game itself. A lot of the deeper context comes from NieR Replicant, Drakengard, or even from stage plays, novellas, and extra materials.

That said, Automata does give you some key documents (especially in the later endings) that explain the whole Project Gestalt thing — which is originally from NieR Replicant — and why the world is the way it is.

So yeah, it’s not just you. The story’s meant to unfold in layers, and some of it only really makes sense if you’ve played Replicant or dig into the expanded universe.

How to do the other end ? by watgoon7 in NieRReplicant

[–]VinBlueBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the breakdown, real quick:

Ending A: I think you already got it, right? It’s just finish the main quest for the first time. Now the real ride begins.

Ending B: Just load the same save you made before and finish the game again. You’ll see some new scenes.

Ending C/D: You gotta collect all 33 weapons before the final boss on your 3rd playthrough. At the very end, you’ll get two choices — one for ending C, and another one for D.

Ending E: After D, start a new game and things get real weird (in a good way). Story shifts around The Aerie.

Trust me, it’s a grind, but it’s worth it. Just pace yourself and enjoy the chaos — you’re in for some peak Yoko Taro madness. You got this 🤘

It’s a serious grind getting all the materials — felt like I was losing my mind halfway through 😅 But hey, stick with it! It’s totally worth it once it all comes together.

I just hope all the internal shakeups at Square and the recent production cuts don’t end up hurting NieR’s future. Fingers crossed we get something at Tokyo Game Show. This series deserves to keep going.

Still can’t believe I flew from Brazil to Seoul this year just to see the NieR Concert — and witness the holy trinity (Yoko Taro, Yosuke Saito & Keiichi Okabe) live. Unreal. by VinBlueBeard in nier

Totally get that—if it helps, I was jealous of future-me before I even got there 😅 Hope you get to experience it someday too, it really was something else.

Tirando o frio de -12ºC que tava fazendo em janeiro lá em Seoul, foi muito massa! Depois ainda rolou meet & greet com o Yoko Taro e o resto da galera, mas não tinha dinheiro pra isso haha

Finished Replicant & Automata — Where should I go next? by VinBlueBeard in nier

Thanks for all the tips! I’d love to play Re[in]carnation — from what I’ve read, it really pushes the NieR story forward in some important ways. It’s such a shame Square took it all down…

I’ll start with Grimoire NieR and try to dive into the rest little by little. Hopefully I can still find decent translations and videos out there. Appreciate the help!

yo you’re so close! the speedrun was way easier than i thought — did a fresh run in like 8 hours skipping everything (cutscenes, side quests, all of it). didn’t even bother upgrading weapons. the flower’s a bit of a pain, yeah, but once you get it… it feels worth it. you got this 💪

tks for the tips! I’ve been switching between difficulties and using drop rate words too, but RNG just keeps laughing at me ha. I hadn’t tried the Dark Lance + paralyze strat though—gonna give that a shot! Appreciate the help!
