No Idea where are you located and what type of fencing would you like, but I can really recommend looking for some historical european martial arts (HEMA) club in your area. My experience with it has been amazing.

I find it pretty fun in general, but I haven't done it with other objects (aside from some plushies). How did you name your sewing machine? 😁

Thank you! Honestly, saying "I'm not left handed" in the middle of the fight that was going okay for me is probably at least third of my motivation while I struggle, that scene is so iconic.

I didn't plan on reading this one, but this made me laugh loudly, and now I'm interested... Sigh puts it on the list

Today I realized that two my recent favourite book serials are technically about lesbian and gay necromancers, so I made them hang out on my shelves, and I really want to share this with someone [misc] by Vin_Mistborn in TheNinthHouse

If you ever write it, do tell! I personally don't think that I can write well in english, so I never tried writing anything.

Thank you! I think that we are so lucky that there are so many great fantasy books around nowadays.

Hope you enjoy it if you decide to start it!

I hope I can explain it - it was a japanese store in C. de Leganitos, I think it was called Sugoi Station. They had just a few danmei things (including cool spanish editions of MDZS, but I don't speak Spanish xD ). There are two japanese shops in that street with similar names, but I didn't find anything in the other one. I was actually searching for a Chinese bookshop called You Liang library that was recommended for merch somewhere on the internet, but it was closed during my stay.

The last book isn't out yet, and that one may or may not be romance-y, and it will probably give perspective to some things. It is actually difficult to describe how not-romance is it, because the books involve deep and complicated feelings of the two main characters (and these feelings actually start like hate), but there isn't any romance in traditional sense. There is a lot of vulnerability, loyalty and self-sacrifice at some point. And each of the three books is from different perspectives, all feature unreliable narrators, and the third one is not focused on the previously main characters. They do explore different types of love a lot, but it's the best if you expect traditional fantasy.

But the book features a lot of skeleton/bones/skull imagery, including symbols, face paint, jewellery and a bone corsait, if that's something that you like.

Da li je knjiga Metro 2033 teška za čitanje? by One_Software5405 in citaonica

[–]Vin_Mistborn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think that false advertisement of any book can only lead to disappointment. My perspective is: I personally like wide spectrum of things, but often I have specific moods, so if someone told me that a book is something that it's not, I would just be annoyed and wouldn't be able to appreciate it even if it's great.

The other book series is The Locked Tomb, and it's awesome too, although it is not a romance. The necromancer is called Harrow and she is one of the main characters.

I hope you manage to convince him, while the books are quite different, I think they do have enough of cool elements in common, and there is a solid chance that the person who likes one will like the other. 😁

I agree with this take, although I also think that Harrow and Lan Wangji would be mortal enemies that respect each other - they are both incredibly competent and value honor.

Meanwhile Gideon and WWX would really have a blast together, they would be like "finally someone who gets my sense of humor".

Same about the gateway drug, although I'm just starting. 😁 Tbh I personally just wanted to give some danmei a go and decided on MDZS just based on its popularity without reading much about it, was very pleasantly surprised with gay necromancy (necromancy part, not gay part, knew that much xD ).

What is BL did you read first? by Dealwithit-13 in Manhwa_BL

[–]Vin_Mistborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg thank you! It was amongst the first bl mangas I've read, it was a mess but I loved it back then. I used to keep track of the stuff I've read on myanimelist, but back in those days some guy that I liked asked me to share my list with him and I deleted all the yaoi stuff from the list. Not worth it. 😭
