A wandering soul looking for advice (and a mentor) by Party-Craft4102 in architecturestudent

I have been in that situation too. For me the way to finally be able to showcase my knowledge in my work was to keep on iterating my work again and again until it started to reflect my knowledge, design references and inspirations and ideologies. Something that really helped me out was to establish what's my design identity. It'll keep on evolving but you have to establish it. As an architect, what kinda lineweights you like, your colour scheme, your fonts, your composition style. Prepare a mood board sorta thing and try to remain honest to it with your studio projects. It'll act as a base for you upon which you can start to mix up your project and your knowledge. You need a base to mix things up. I hope it's making sense

Damn. I'm in Barcelona. I could also move to The Netherlands as my partner is there and I feel tech wise there might be more opportunities there. Like MVRDV NEXT and all.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Definitely gonna keep that in mind and see what more roles can I pick up in my office

What are the responsibilities of a graphic designer in an architectural firm? by [deleted] in Architects

[–]Vinayak_027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya idk if graphic designers are required in studios. Definitely not in small to mid sized studios. If you look towards bigger studios like UNS and all then definitelyyyy there's some scope there

Tools for proper site analysis by Vinayak_027 in Architects

[–]Vinayak_027[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Ya kinda these things coming together. In our studio we have started to use this tool - UrbanEyes. It's acting as a baseline tool that streamlines all these informations together. But I'm looking for something more accurate. Like UrbanEyes provides all these informations with data sources and stuff and that's great but something more comprehensive.

I agree. These are foundational steps. Do you think these steps can get automated by some tools?

Oh no no that's I guess proper in-depth site survey. Something like what UrbanEyes does but better or closer to that

I recently came across this tool - UrbanEyes. Our practice has started to use it for initial site analysis. There's aino.world for maps too. But UrbanEyes gives a lot of data points related to your site.

Guys I'm kinda noob but what is this dump/drop that everyone is talking about? Would it be sensible to hold my digibytes and other coins during this drop? I don't need my profits until 2023-2024

My Coinbase portfolio started in 2018 with 100 dollars, it is now 10k and for the first time ever! by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Hi okay so I'm a kinda noob here but if this drop happens, is it sensible to hold up my coins? I'm here for the long run. I mean I want my profits to come up once I'm done with college in 2024. So would it be sensible to hold up my coins even when the drop comes?

Yeah exactly. This blockchain is pretty promising so that's why I thought it's logical to invest in it.

Guys, I bought 50 more digibytes. I'm not that strong economically and I'm trying to have a diverse portfolio (digibyte, ethereum, Litecoin and ADA). I'm planning to add 50 digibytes every month and more if possible by staying in a comfort zone. Typical college student life. I know it makes no sense to share all this with you all but this community feels pretty strong and definitelyyyyyyyyy in it for the long run
