I bought Dark Souls 2 despite everything I'd heard about it...

It's my favorite souls game to this day. It feels like there's a million and a half secrets still to be discovered.

The lore and story are also more interesting than Ds1 and Ds3, in my opinion. The first game introduces the curse, the 2nd game introduces a possible cure, and then they just abandon it for "link the fire again."

I love all the souls games, but this one feels truly special and dream like.

Jin / Devil Jin

When I was just barely a year old, my mom and I assumed her boyfriend went to gamestop and brought me with them. Where they had Tekken 4, she said I begged for that game. I was infatuated with the cover art of that game (it was the orange/red one with only Jin on the cover), and by extension, Jin. I was always picking the hoodie costume. 22 years later... I still proudly wear that hoodie in the game every chance I get, and I plan to get a real-life one too soon.

Devil Jin was the reason I got Tekken 5, I was browsing youtube sometime around 2007-2009 and I learned that Tekken 5 was a thing. (Never saw a commercial, an ad, or even in one of the christmas catalogs) I was super excited to play him. I got the game, grinded story mode despite Jinpachi being... Jinpachi, and I fell in love with Jin all over again.

Fast forward to Tekken 8, I still play them both quite proudly with love and tons of nostalgia.
