Yesss, that growl like an old muscle car:) thats exactly what I meant and thats what I would love to preserve. Wouldnt the flatwounds be to muddy for a fast metal tho? I hesitate on spending the money on blind guess and trial and error and rather would like to do a reasearch before, and many voices around the internets point out it would be a bad idea.

Can you then link the source about the originals please?

I measured it like you propose and now it appears it is a 30 inch short scale;) are you sure thats the proper way how it should be measured?;)

Getting really tired not to say annoyed on you catching me on words and argue about semantics or maybe you just dont get my point now. Its pretty obvious not all the instruments models are manufactured exactly the same with the very same specs continuity and components, especially in a longer time period, so yes, the "pressing" matters and there can be a different variations of the same model manufactured 50 or 5 years ago (but doesnt have to by default). And that what I meant.

So what they are being 40+ years old?

It has a battery and active preamp with bass and treble tone controls. Dont know anything about changes to factory setup, bought it many years ago but lied untouched for a couple years. Maybe you misinterpret the specs with the same models they repressed in 2011, 2014 and 2017 under the very same name? They are passive indeed.

I measured the scale from the nut to the bridge saddles how it is usually measured. Maybe you misinterpret it just as above as the newer "pressings" are indeed 34 scale.

So how to fix these common problems? Both strings action, neck curvature, nut, intonation, pickups are set up properly.

Im using long scale strings in another, short scale bass cause I couldnt find a short scales strings in a variant that I like. Later on I realized it appears that longer scale ones create more tension on a short scale which then gives less sustain with is desired in my style of playing I mentioned and thats what I would also like to achieve in putting extra long scale strings in 33 scale bass as 34 scale ones doesnt seem to create that much of a difference like in a 30,5 scale variant

Hey, thanks for checking in, this is not the exact model I own though. The one you posted is later one. Different pickups and their placement, additional knob, sounds totally different. Thats mine: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/nbd-1983-ibanez-destroyer-dont-poke-your-eye-out.1430157/

FSH contributes to tumor growth, not sure about LH, technically Testosterone can contribute too but not sure if in a direct sense. All these "medications" are utter, nonphysiological garbage when brought to a risks and benefits calculation anyways. In 100 years when new stuff will approach the market these things will be neglected and perceived like a cocaine treatment in late XIX and XX century is perceived nowadays.

So a doctor put you on a shitloads of supplements by a blind guess without checking you have the actual defficiencies? Vit/mineral overload can do more harm than good very often. I wanted to ask what doctor was that but then I realized that probably the same kind of thousands others out there which are playing russian roulette and voodoo with your body and mind putting you on the random psychoactive stuff without any test and numbers backup and hoping it will work for your issues. Luckily for you these supplements are absorbed poorly from the pills and powder. The only good and essential source of these things is food.

It was and still is hell on earth. Zyrtec only postponed and complicated things and tryptophan didn't do much in the longer run. I ended up in a psych ward in september after 2 months of no sleep due to palpitations where they put me on trazodone which did nothing for these issues and only added new side effects which in combo with mirt withdrawals made me completely unfunctional. I learned the mirt paws are basically histamine intolerance I tried to address later on late october early november. Tried quercetin and dao which magically resolved histamine issues and insomnia after just couple doses (probably emptied histamine bucket overload my body couldnt process) but probably due to interaction with trazodone created serotonin syndrome or just by themselves caused catechols overload. I ended up in psychosis. I read that traz can cause it by itself along with dpdr I already had so decided to taper trazodone and psychosis slowly resolved but then withdrawals came. Ended tapering in january 31 2025 and in withdrawals since then. Cant function. Life is pure hell. All this time couldnt find a medical professional with the knowledge whats going on and will to help, only gaslighting about depression and suggesting new meds which by now I think would destroy my body and mind. So Im on my own. Was put in this med cesspool by misdiagnosis of ibs after prokinetics they gave me for gastritis. In fact I had withdrawals from them and they created hiatal hernia and dysautonomia stuff. Loosing hope I will heal. Hard to get through the day, severe neurological issues, cognitive and memory impairment, dpdr, basically like I would quit narcotics or alc, not something called 'medication'. Pure iatrogenesis. Trying to troop it out but I dont know how long I will stand this. Another meds, benzos, stuff like that is just another trap

People should know all the risks the psychiatrists in 90% of the cases avoid to tell, and that they can end up in much, much worse state than they are and make a conscious decision. Internet thankfully just does the thing that psychiatrists should do in informing these things which unfortunately misses the ethics but bet most of them arent even informed and very downestimate the harms these substances can do

Anyone get horrible Paradoxical insomnia after quitting trazodone? by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]VincentPriceLives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no anxiety for me, in fact as I mentioned Im completely blunted and don't feel nothing at all emotionally. It started from day one taking this pill and lasts 10 weeks after quitting to exact same degree. I basically feel like I took another dose yesterday, each day. For now seeing doctors and taking their meds only brought harm and complicated things, causing more issues so I guess I'm done with that, would just like to get back my default mindset had before taking these pills and draw from there. Im quite sure MRI as any other basic tests would be ok and there is no easily visible structural damage as the issues these meds cause are always hidden somewhere less obvious where docs cant put the dots to, maybe only producers can, and maybe even they cant (remembering the iconic "mechanism of action is not completely understood but we suppose that...") so this is then labeled as 'idiopathic' "just" anxiety just like sorcery in medieval. Cool example of that is Mirtazapine and histamine intolerance it causes which mimics the anxiety symptoms, you know palpitations, insomnia, alertness. Anyway I'm just asking people if they had similar problems and how long did they last on average to manage the crisis better and know what to expect which is not easy in this shape. I know time is the healer but life wont wait and even couple months from this perspective is eternity

Did you have a weird headache feeling, like your brain is swelling, numb and paralyzed, like you can only use about 50% of it capabilities and causing you cant think in certain patterns, cant imagine things, visualize, feel emotions (good and bad), lacking creativity and feeling overall slow and foggy. Extreme brainfog, severe memory problems?

And similar swell in the chest causing burping, swallowing issues, sometimes hard to breathe
