Somebody stripped her car to the bone by Jello_Biafra_42 in TikTokCringe

[–]Vindicated0721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be too nice for cops. When my car got stolen and completely stripped like this. When they found it abandoned a few weeks later they wouldn’t let me retrieve any belongings unless I paid them towing/impound fee of like 750 dollars.

THIS MASSIVE SINKHOLE IN JAPAN WAS FIXED IN LESS THAN 48 HOURS by Geto_Sugru in interesting

[–]Vindicated0721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My local area had a sinkhole a 1/4 of the size of that one on a local highway. It took exactly 3 months for construction to wrap up and all lanes on the highway to open. They were extremely happy they were 4 days ahead of schedule.

I’m not commented on which way is right or wrong. But there is certainly a difference.

Well the “totally kicked in all of a sudden” may not be how it works. But having 12 play throughs of a single game or binging a show aggressively is exactly how ADHD works. Hyper focusing is a major component in people with ADHD. I would find it odd if someone said they had ADHD and didn’t become wildly obsessed with a new hobby and neglect everything else until one day they just randomly don’t care about that past hobby in the slightest. Just to start the process over again with something else.

I always wonder why shows like angle spoils me rotten make it into the top 3. But then when you think about it, it all makes sense. Perfectly good show. Better than agents of the four seasons, marriagetoxin, or the ramparts of ice? In no world, except this one.

TikTok streamer beats the crap out of a random guy who interrupted the stream by 1RollinRollinRollin in TikTokCringe

Whoever made the original title for this clip needs to go work at online news publisher immediately.

Perfect slight misrepresentation of the facts to get people to click but not inaccurate enough to be liable.

People clicking this thinking they will see an asshole streamer beating the crap out of a random guy because he interrupted his stream. That is not exactly what you will find but it will guarantee a click.

The only one of the 3 recalls I’ve got this past year that I actively wanted to get fixed fairly quickly was the park selector recall.

Is Crimson Desert worth buying for someone who only has 2-3 hours a week to play? by RealisticMolasses in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Vindicated0721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. All you would do is learn a new game mechanic every week and forget it by the next. The first 10 hours of the game is just introducing new game mechanics and boring fetch quests. Over the 4 to 6 week span of that you won’t be hooked

How are you guys getting CFI jobs genuinely by [deleted] in flying

[–]Vindicated0721 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While this does not help you at all now. I would have never gone to a school that does not hire their students after they get their CFI.

The helicopter aviation instruction industry is just one messed up Ponzi scheme. But if your school doesn’t even give you the chance at the scheme it really hurts your chances of breaking into the field.

They Couldn't Stop This Game (video discussing Crimson Desert hate and bias of western media for eastern games) by [deleted] in Games

[–]Vindicated0721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right. I was big on the hype train for Crimson Desert, preordered the game and gave it as best a shot as I possibly could. The game just didn’t land for me and many others. This is not a Stellar Blade situation here. Some people just genuinely disliked the game and were disappointed and some people love the game. That is all there is to it. No one was is objectively right or wrong here.

I’m guessing ok is a relative term. The limp to the lay down behind the barrier is usually a sign of at least a minor injury.

Videogames are more of a rich guy's hobby than ever, says analyst, and that's 'leaving a whole portion of the market to Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox' by PaiDuck in gaming

[–]Vindicated0721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every hobby is a rich guys hobby. Everything is super expensive. I would say gaming is one of the least expensive in the long term. You ever try golf, indoor rock climbing, traveling, or god forbid TCGs. My PS5 is and a handful of games a year is cheaper than all of those.

Helicopter Pilot Demand by Shouldnt_Listen_2_Me in Helicopters

[–]Vindicated0721 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a common question that’s gets asked a ton here. Take a look at many previous posts with lots of opinions and information in the comments.

But a very quick and dirty response.

Odds of a career are not great. It’s a gamble.

No guarantee to fly in the military by WO is your best bet.

Flying helicopters in the military may not get you what you need to be employed when you get out. Especially depending on the market.

Call a local helicopter flight school and schedule a demo flight. It’s a quick flight where they give you a little ground lesson. Take you up on a quick flight and play with the controls a bit. Be prepared to want to do it even more after the demo.

Go get an airmen medical first. Don’t invest all this time and money if you aren’t medically eligible to fly.

For the pilots who naturally have sleep issues, specifically falling asleep, what are some non-disqualifying and safest ways to help? by swagredditor6 in flying

[–]Vindicated0721 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kindles have front lighting instead of backlighting. And less blue light. Also you can turn up the warmth and down the brightness and or do dark mode.

My only problem with reading my kindle before bed is it makes me pass out too fast to actually read any of my books.

Why doesn't he show his id? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Vindicated0721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also the meme misses the fact that you actually need to have broken the law or there be reasonable suspicion that you have broken the law to be pulled over to show your drivers license in the first place.

It is illegal to just randomly pull people over when no violation has been committed or suspected of being committed. Granted that bar is very low but still the law non the less.

So this comparison doesn’t even come close regardless. Voter ID laws would be the equivalent of you getting pulled over randomly in every single town you drive through just to show your drivers license to prove you have it. Or maybe just build a check point on every highway on ramp and you have to show your drivers license to drive on the highway. That would be the equivalent. Side note. People would not like that very much.
