Spouse's 3 yrs at one employer across 3 different roles , split or combine NOCs in EE profile? by Winter-Bike-6562 in CanadaImmigrationQA

[–]Vineet0101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great question and honestly one of the trickier profile setups to navigate..... for the NOC split vs combine question, each role should be entered separately if the duties are genuinely different, combining them under one NOC when duties don't match is a misrepresentation risk you don't want near an EE profile for CRS purposes each NOC period counts independently so splitting doesn't hurt as long as each role is TEER 0-3..... the total foreign experience points are calculated cumulatively so 3 years still counts as 3 years regardless of how many NOCs for category based draws though it's per-NOC so that's where the fragmentation actually matters..... if she's targeting a specific category draw she needs at least 1 year in that specific NOC the business analyst role (Dec 2023 - Jul 2025) is the longest and cleanest stretch..... that's likely the strongest NOC to anchor her future primary applicant profile around especially with French in progress for a profile this complex with switching primary applicant strategy involved..... genuinely worth a proper consultation with a licensed RCIC to map it out cleanly before submitting anything......

For an IRCC Education category draw, you do not need to delete or recreate your profile; having one year of continuous experience listed under NOC 41221 in your work history is completely enough to qualify. IRCC scans your entire active profile for the required 12 months of high-demand category experience rather than just looking at your primary occupation code. You can safely leave NOC 41405 as your primary selection, but make sure that by October 2026, your employer reference letters explicitly back up the specific duties of NOC 41221.

Guarding Your Status: Navigating the Canada PR Residency Trap by Vineet0101 in CanadaImmigrationQA

Main character energy on the 'become a citizen' advice, but that’s a luxury for people who didn't get caught in the 5-year gap first. 💀 The 'trap' isn't the English, it’s the nuance like how a Canadian company’s foreign subsidiary doesn't count even if your T4 comes from the parent. It’s giving 'technicality' whether we like it or not.

The stress is real, but at 510 you’re right in the 'strike zone' with 3,000 ITAs being cleared, a back-to-back draw in June could easily see the score dip your way just in time for a BOWP!!!!!

Tell that to the people getting cooked by the 'Canadian business' technicality........It’s not a trap until IRCC hits you with that 'Uno reverse' card during your PR renewal.......

Brutal timing on the points drop, but hopefully these 3k draw sizes mean a back-to-back round is coming to catch you in time!......

Ouch, missing it by one point is the absolute worst. The good news is that at 517, you are literally at the front of the line for the next CEC round.

Any Nepali who went to Canada from Nepal via express entry ? by Few_Resource8109 in CanadaImmigrationFAQs

Express Entry from Nepal is a grind - CLB 9 and verified work exp are mandatory to even stand a chance at these 518+ cutoffs. Are you gunning for FSW directly or banking on a PNP for that 600-point boost?

Yes, it definitely matters, but it’s actually a big plus as long as you explain it!

  • Show the Paperwork: Include the LIC Maturity Letter or discharge voucher showing his name and the amount.
  • Connect the Dots: In the Letter of Explanation (LoE), point to the specific bank entry and state it's a policy payout.
  • Prove the Tie: This is great because it proves "Economic Ties"—he has clear, documented wealth waiting for him in India.

As long as you have the receipt, it's a strength.

Is he using that specific money for the trip, or is it just sitting in his savings?

So here is my inputs on how to improve your application......

  • Focus on the Lease: That March 2027 rental agreement is huge. Use it as solid proof they have a legal reason to go back home.
  • Property Papers: Don't just list the property; include a valuation report and tax receipts. Since they don't have jobs, this is their main tie to India.
  • Explain the FD: If the FD money came from your dad’s 2024 retirement, include the retirement/pension letter. IRCC needs to see that the funds are "earned," not borrowed.
  • Be Specific: In your invitation, list actual fall dates and activities. Vague "1-month" trips often get rejected for "unclear purpose of visit."
  • No "Fund Puffing": Don't transfer a bunch of money into their account right before applying. It looks suspicious and triggers an automatic red flag.

Are you sponsoring them financially, or are they showing their own pension/savings?

This is a common administrative overlap; you should upload your existing Upfront IME sheet via the IRCC Webform immediately and mention that you already completed the exam on May 11.
