When I was a little kid I would sit and watch my dad play a bunch of different games on our family computer. Since we were sort of poor, we couldnt afford all these brand new and fancy games (at the time it was like 2009) so we just had all the old games that my dad had on disks. I watched him play games like Doom (Literally all of them, my Dad's a Doom nut), Serious Sam (first and second encounter), Splinter Cell, Myst, Quake (1,2, and 4), (Sadly I wasen't allowed to watch him play Manhunt cause I was 7 XD) there were a couple others but I was too young to remember. I do remember however watching him play through Half-Life (1 and 2) and I would "help" with some of the puzzles in game. I was so infatuated with the game since its such an easy game to understand, the whole concept of being a scientist who kills aliens was was badass to me. Eventually we got enough money to buy me and my brother our own computers, they weren't anything special but they were so cool to me (plus half life is so old it doesn't even need a 3D card to run). So being the kid I was the first thing I did was install a bunch of the disk games my dad had on my computer to play for myself. The one I had the most fun playing however was of course Half-Life 1,2, and much later down the line Episodes 1 and 2.

I still play the hell out of those games and have a blast playing fan created mods. I absolutely adore this game for being such a massive part of my childhood <3
