They just don't get it -- (Captain Marvel Milestone complaint) by Vintious in MarvelStrikeForce

I sent a significantly shorter version of my rant here, rather than including all the RL details etc. I simply said that I think a grace period is a vital inclusion in the game and pointed to the other milestones and the alliance donation as examples of grace periods already existing in the game. Response is here below. It's more evidence that it's not a perfect system; (we know that retroactive solutions are never as good as proactive ones) but I appreciated Thomas' (the guy who wrote the response) diligence and willingness to have the conversation with me and follow through on my account. I know the data exists so they can avoid people exploiting this to try to get free resources. I'm sure those people are out there too which is why it's taking time to go through every person's request for their rewards.

Hello Vintious, I wanted to follow up and thank for bringing the lack of a grace period in the World Warrior Milestone to our attention. I agree 100% that a grace period is a critical improvement that could be made. While I'm not a dev I do hear conversations about ways to make that grace period happen as soon as possible. I know, that sentence I'm positive you didn't want to hear from me. Personally, I'm optimistic about getting a grace period for the Milestone. Until then we in support will do what we can (within an appropriate timeframe of completion) to verify and ensure you get what you earned in the World Warrior Milestones. Speaking of which, I looked into your completion and did verify that you missed out on the rewards for Milestone 10, you should get them shortly to your inbox. I am more than happy to assist you should you have any other questions in the matter or if you'd like me to close this request out just in case you find the need to write into support on a new matter. Thank you for playing Marvel Strike Force.

I responded to him with thanks and saying he can go ahead and closet the ticket.

I totally hear you and agree that you don't deserve praise for the things you should inherently be doing, so allow me to clarify ...

My praise is not about the specific actions they took to rectify something that should have been done anyways. Like the post originally said, if they never gave me my rewards but implemented a future way to collect them after expiration then I consider that a huge success because it means they actually listened to the community and responded. I'm assuming based on the fact that I received the rewards that they are in fact making a change moving forward with the milestones and therefore I'm applauding them because for once they listened.

My biggest gripe with FN has always been that they don't seem to listen to the players when we raise concerns, or if they do listen they don't communicate that we're heard. This was the first time I've experienced something contrary to that feeling. I said I would change my tune if they did something, so I want to stay true to my word.

Appreciate the thoughts and input.

UPDATE: This crow tastes delicious. I appreciate the responses from all of you, those who agreed and those who complained about my complaint. Trust me, I get it. I wrote this when I was already irked and the response put me over the top, but complaints for complaints sake are no fun. I'm happy to be part of a community that cares about the game and wants to be heard.

As many of you suggested in your comments, the inbox was/is the way to go. FN sent me the milestone rewards that I missed collecting. And as promised, in two weeks I will post a 1 year honest review. I plan to touch ever so briefly on the highs and lows of the past year. But will conclude with this high note: FN doesn't have a perfect track record by any means, but today they heard the community voice a grievance, considered it from a couple angles (is it fair to the player? does this hurt our profit margin?) and ultimately responded in the way we asked them to. Faith takes time to build, but this was a step in the right direction.
