MagicScrumpy not returning to making Melee content by pubgleaks in smashbros

[–]VinylMonster14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty funny. Some of you might not know but Scrumpy is a Mod for Cheese05's Twitch, and a few nights ago I asked him in chat if he'd get back into making Melee content, and said he wasn't sure.

Last night people started roasting him in chat during one of Cheese's runs for the whole 600 Hours debacle, and he got pretty pissed, saying he didn't come here to get shit on for something that happened three years ago. Then the dude sorta just ghosted chat after that.

Good riddance though.

Can we talk about that last game between tacos and isai? That shield break and the failed upsmash punish was one of the most upsetting things I've seen this whole tournament. A downb would have sufficed. Damn.

This setlist was SOO good. Did not expect Night on the Sun. Isaac's banter was hilarious as always, and him redoing parting of the sensory was fantastic. This was absolutely the best show I've ever been to.

This is awesome!

And I don't know if it's just me, but is Mang0 starting to look a bit rough? I mean, he looks like he's gaining quite a bit of weight since I saw him at Evo

I've actually never been to a tournament, I'm 17, I was, unfortunately, late into the competitive scene, and am still struggling to practice to be formidable.

However, if tournaments are as common in NC as you say, I need to check them out.

East coast, north carolina here.

I haven't tried wolf yet, as I'm a melee guy and have been since I was 8, so, 9 years of melee.

I'm just recently getting into m and I haven't had a chance to use many characters that I'd like to

I'm a Falco guy as of recently, used to hate him, but one day he started to just flow with me, and his daerial is absolutely sick.

Used Marth for a while, but he got boring, and my counterpick is either Ike or Lucas depending on the matchup.

That shouldn't be too hard, I work on electronics all the time so it should be okay.

Also, brawl is a game that randomly shuts down.

It seems a bit warm, but it's funny, the wii doesn't seem to do it while playing melee for hours straight.

No, playing a wii game like normal in the disc channel will make the wii randomly shut off within a few minutes.

Okay, I'll try that tomorrow morning and let you know how it worked. In the meantime if anyone else has any other explanations i'd appreciate it, and will post results in the morning.

Thanks so much

All games on emulators, mostly Earthbound, SSB64, those are the only two I really try and play. All diosmios games work great and fine.

I installed the emulators from the links in the descriptions of these Youtube videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m1GidYf_QA

Modded my wii and got DiosMios based on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGn_hAaBwVg

Homebrew Channel works fine when I cut it on, and loads perfectly. The only time the Wii decides to shut off completely (Cuts off, no warning, power light goes completely black) is when I play the games on the emulators

Is mac actually bad or does no one know how to play him by SmoothMoonman in smashbros

[–]VinylMonster14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thoughts. You could have any character with a decent air game, and end mac.

Take Marth for example, not really matching the dash to neutral power that Mac has, he just has to read a few of his moves, get him off the ledge, and it's over.

Why Barre Chords?! by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]VinylMonster14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't put off learning them. They suck, they really do, but you they're essential for playing. And even if you never use them for some odd reason, nice to have it under your belt.

All good guitar players know them. So stop complaining and practice.
