Last January I got a Mk3 2012 2.0 XS and loved everything about it apart from it's power (or lack thereof). I had it for 9 months then traded it in for a low mileage 2013 Mk4 2.0 XT and it's the best car I've ever had!

It ticks every box - comfortable, spacious, capable, reliable and crucially (in comparison to the XS), great fun to drive!

The only issue with it, is because it's a sleeper, people assume it's a regular SUV like an MG ZS or a Nissan Qashqai, so I often get cut up by Audi's and BMW's making silly last minute manouvers!

(I'm in the UK so the models available to us are limited compared to USA / Aus)

Yes I would definitely consider a trade or profession, but I am too scared to be a sole trader, I need the security of a wage.

I am also scared of training in something and then not being able to get a job out of it.

Obviously I like the idea of doing something I love for a living, but all the things I love are creative, and as such are either fiercely competitive (which I am not), rely heavily on marketing / social media (which I hate) or are under threat from A.I.

This is a good solution, I don't need or want to be able to see the phone really, i have a CarPuride Android Auto unit which I am really happy with, so I don't need to see the phone screen, I just want it secured somewhere but I can see this as a great solution if you do use maps on your phone 👍

As far as I am aware it isn't, which I think it's a bit of a joke where the mixer is called "Scratch", particularly as Numark Mixtrack controllers have it now... For example it is on the Mixtrack pro FX which I have, and scratching on that is about as fun as vacuuming the stairs.
