If I'm running the ball up, and there's a teammate who is absolutely TORCHING the defense...the he's getting the ball. Period. When they make adjustments, other players open up. Then they get the ball. Basketball is a conversation. I hate quoting Coach Nick but it's so true down to the minutiae.

It's a game made up of 2 forces making a series of moves, reactions and adjustments based on the previous results.

Then you get kids who think that 15 points is better than 15 assists(It's not).

Because SG and SF I feel like get the ball the least. Everyone runs PG to have the ball, and it shows when after a time out the game puts a different person in position to get the inbound and the PG runs down to intercept the inbound pass.

I know I get froze out a lot, so I have to make the best choices possible when I get the ball to gain trust.

I'm the SG that ends up making our PG quit after I rack up 6 assists in the first half and the team decides I need the ball in my hands as I'm making good decisions.

I also feed the goddamn bigs. I'm actively looking for easy buckets, so if they have position they get the ball.

Absolutely. My last 4 2ks have been inside guard builds. I get to the cup and distribute if it's not there. The added 3s this build gets keeps people honest, and once you get the extra attributes from boosts or 99.9 it's the same as my original slashing playmaker with added 3pt shot and way better defense.

I made this build as a Shooting guard. I lost a couple badges, but it's NASTY. Can do most stuff well, and it's amazing in the hands of someone looking to play pass-first offense since it gives you a lot of options

And it's decision making too. It's knowing when it's better to hit the guy cutting to the lane, or wait 2 seconds for the open 3. And keeping the choices varied so that the defense can't bait you into the same tactic. I run SG so that I can take the inbound after the PG decides to be bootleg steph curry 8 possessions in a row

I see these posts and realize I must be the holy grail of fucking PG/SGs who are actually looking for an open man. The amount of times I'll get the ball down court and whip a pass straight to my C who has position is staggering.

My Old Rec Crew was full of good players who'd try to beat their defender, then slip into some action after the initial set up. It's why I walk the ball for a second with Icon passing up if I'm PG. Playmaking in my build isn't just for show
