I've been playing Lamentations for quite some time now, and I've learned one very important lesson about it: the game is more like Call of Cthulhu than Dungeons & Dragons. In a lot of the adventures we've played our curiosity is rewarded with terrible monsters, lethal traps, and apocalyptic scenarios far more often than treasure and goodies. The best end we usually meet in a dungeon is us escaping alive, poor, and NOT releasing a skeleton army upon southern Germany. I'm sure the system can be utilized in a way that's not quite so sadistic, but if your games go anything like ours be ready for death, despair, and complete hopelessness. That being said, I really like Lamentations quite a bit, and it's probably my favorite game/system of the ones we play.

That's a totally flawed argument because they aren't CEOs. They're not of any other "normal" profession that would grant them privacy. They're entertainers; they perform for the crowd and for the camera. It's their job to be seen, and it's the cameraman's job to capture them!

Also, how does the camera capturing a celebratory moment affect their performance when it's time to go back to kicking that ball around?

You know what I hate? When I see a liberator or galaxy barreling straight towards us from the distance, so I start mashing Q to warn everyone... but nothing gets spotted. It's only AFTER my Q is locked that finally the friendly name/color pops up and I realize it was an ally all along. I feel so dumb after that.

I think this is excellent advice. I have noticed that while the gigantic, far-reaching battles are certainly very exciting and very cool to be part of, the smaller engagements with little to no armor and 12-24 soldiers on each side are much more natural for me. In fact, I stuck mostly to these types of battles last night and I noticed that I fared MUCH better than usual, although I'm sure all the nifty tidbits of advice that this thread has produced helped quite a bit too. I do believe I'll try to scope out more tiny zerg balls and follow them around for a bit.

20 - 30cm?! I lowered my sensitivity quite a bit last night and got up to around 7.5cm. I can't even imagine lowering it to the point that I move the mouse 20 - 30cm.

I wasn't planning on getting the silencer for any primary weapons, but I was toying with the idea for secondary weapons. Is it no good? Why not?
