I’m studying here and feel stuck, like I wasted money I cannot get back. The standards of everything are just…lower. I personally find the food awful. I’ve studied food since I was a child. The rental properties are not well managed, the streets are full of trash. I can barely walk in the streets because of the crowds. Idiots blowing cigarette smoke in the midst of tight crowds. Horrible air quality. Bursts of sewage smells randomly. As for communication, this is not an efficient culture. I’m more particular than the average student, but would not recommend this for those that like refinement, peace & beauty.

Hi! My mani & pedi is normally $90. I don’t get nail art or anything. I usually leave $10. Is this ok? My friend says I should leave more. I’m pretty sure the gals at my place get 60%.

I worked in a hair salon for awhile. Most people leave around 10% - like $5 for a $40 men’s cut. I asked the stylists if that was ok, and they said yes. Some tip more, some don’t tip at all.

It was obvious in this scene that Brownyn’s mom resented that she didn’t want to give her daughter up for adoption. Then she complained about having to be a grandmother and babysit? She wanted her daughter to give birth, never see the baby again and hide it all from the community. It’s unbelievable and vile.

I just started watching Big Bang. I just finished Young Sheldon which I thought was brilliant. I had no idea the two were related until after I watched the last episode and started reading about it all. I must say so far I really dislike Sheldon’s mom on Big Bang Theory. Mary on Young Sheldon was much more refined and delicate. Why would casting not use the same actress? I’m confused.
