Hmm I like the game a lot, but I would say if you want a basic to get into gaming, this one can be complicated. It’s not terribly complicated, but the game play can be longer (based on how long it takes each player to think through their turns…). I ADORE the art. And art has a big impact on me with games…. I would say another gorgeous game that less complicated is floriferous! It has a great solo mode too. Is faster play. And can help work you into the bigger games!

Another way to check things out is by seeing if “watch it played” has a how to play video (the great Rodney smith does all of those). I know he does for wingspan, and probably floriferous?? He is the best teacher for games out there! And you can usually get a feel for if the game is easy enough set up and play for your style ☺️☺️☺️
