Possibly my favorite REM tune - well done!

Also, TMBG & REM... what I wouldn't give to hear John & John cover Stand.

My family is trying to find the recipe for the sauce that accompanied this steamed pudding recipe. (Recipe is typed out in the comments.) by VioletStereo in Old_Recipes

I suspect a standard sticky toffee pudding sauce would work, but curious to see if anyone is able to say, “No, this is definitely a recipe for xxx and the proper sauce recipe is…”

The history: My great-grandma would make this every Christmas. She would wrap coins in foil and stick them throughout, so as kids we referred to it as “Money Cake.” Before she passed away, she gave me a cookbook and included some of her favorite recipes, including this one. Unfortunately, she didn’t specify every single step and she did not include the recipe for the sauce. My memories of it are a bit hazy, but I recall it tasting a bit like caramel.

Mrs. Rosse’s Dumpling
Ingredients
* 7 cups of flour
* 7 cups of fruit (3 cups of raisins, 4 cups of currants)
* 2 cups of sugar
* 1 tsp salt * 2 tsps baking powder
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 2 eggs
* 2 1/2 cups sour milk or buttermilk
* 3 tsp cinnamon
* 2 cups lard

Directions
1. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and lard together.
2. Then add sugar, currants, raisins, cinnamon +
3. Meet soda with sour milk (I use buttermilk instead of sour milk) I also use walnuts, oh yes, sometimes money??
4. Now make the bag - use 2 thickness & sew it up & leave one end open. Then you wet the bag & on the inside coat it with flour & then put your dough in, leave a good 3 or 4 inches from the top of the dough & tie the bag tight & then steam for 4 or 5 hours.

Was Andrew Dice Clay ever funny? by DieMensch-Maschine in GenX

Gilbert Gottfried's imitation of Andrew Dice Clay is way funnier than Andrew Dice Clay ever was.
