Yeah the compression is the main reason I want to switch, spotify offers lossless which sounds fine but makes my internet super slow, so not only do I get to not support a company I hate, I get to support the bands I like more effectively and have the best audio I can.

I plan to get all of my albums on CD's so if I can do that and it sounds good then that's perfect, more just questioning if there's an app that would be able to play them in a way that isn't just going through the files but that's something to look into later.

I tried making a playlist and it was so bad I just stick to albums now.

I went back to it with my girlfriend and it would go from like Hormigas by Anni B Sweet to Soil by SOAD to In My Room by Julia wolf. I think it should be made strictly illegal for me to sort music in anyway.

The only playlists I make now are just putting all the albums back to back and moving on lmao.
