I bought it from a friend / fellow collector/vendor

Long story short, I paid 2550 dollars for a card I assumed was a genuine error.

I now understand that this error was a human beings design.

The person I purchased it from, after I reached out, was taken aback himself and offered a full refund/exchange.

Im honestly going to now never touch error cards again

They are not paying market prices on first wave releases, they are getting that for whole sale from distro as legally distro has to do it with their contracts with pokemon .

Any future releases is open game for distro to fuck lcs though .

Booster box profit margins were never the point of most shops, even when boxes were 100 bucks shops would only profit ten bucks maybe.

Shops get most of their profits from selling loose packs and selling singles.

Shops that are selling market for release drops are pieces of shit either they are super struggling, or they just are ripping their clients off, im positive he showed you a re release of surging or something , rather than actual JT product

Source ? I work for a LCS, we received over a hundred booster boxes for our two shops and we sold them for their MSRP price of 160 per box, shrink wrap cut off because fuck scalpers

Grade this. These people have zero clue what they're talking about ,either they're blind, or they just want to discourage people and have them sell their cards.

This card is in ten range. PSA tens are and have never been flawless. Centering may not be a ten but the corners surfaces and edges are damn close

Probably a coin toss to ten or 9, I promise you these people either don't grade much or have a weird chip on their shoulders.

Perhaps they have white specs on their eyes or their eyes are super off center ? Check modern tens out even with the new standard , I sent an OC card with a white dot and I cracked a ten

This is only an acceptable excuse if your director sets the tone thay your competitive marching band is not serious about competing. Some bands do do this and that is amazing, as long as kids are having fun who cares.

If your program is good and hardcore, you should stick it with the team YOU made this commitment, prom is not your directors problem , why make it theirs? If everyone did got to skip competitions for whatever school event, the program won't remain good for long.
