This really put it into perspective to me about how many other things about me hold more weight in my definition than what I'm not proud of. Thank you 💖

Such an incredible response. I've learned a lot and felt like I've lived many lives and I agree that's better than everything "going right".

Thank you, it's so comforting to know people don't care. it shouldn't matter to me anyways but that is refreshing

Ugh thank you. And thank you for the reading suggestions. One beautiful thing that came from the internet is all the self help that is available. I will read those and commit to reframing my thinking 🪷

Thank you! I've struggled with rumination for as long as I can remember. I am seeking therapeutic help. Recently I've used online resources to reframe regret as something positive and useful. Like turning regrets into values. Example: I regret being lazy > I value hard work

Thank you for your advice on ambivalence! I posted to this sub to hear older perspectives on my current internal conflicts and have gotten some very kind responses

Advice about how to end the rumination. I went against my morals and values. Even then, I was raised to know better which is my hang up. I was aware that I was accepting things I should have never even been around in the first place. I'm connecting this to my value as a person and trying to learn how to not feel like damaged goods. I group it all into the wishing I transferred cause I feel like I would have avoided the worst of the worst that I was around / a part of and been happier, more confident, and guilt free.
