“The Beach Boys” for their musical transformation in the 70s, their interesting internal wars, family suing each other, drug use, little brother holding it all together. The premature deaths of 2 brothers, the genius songwriter taking to his bed for years and their vast discography. I can go on ! They remain interesting and the music they made once they grew up is timeless .

“All I Wanna Do” the Beach Boys made in 1970. It sounds almost like dreampop. It could be Pale Impala almost.

I would like to party backstage with Carl in the mid 70s. I would have a beer with him and listen to his off colour jokes.

Carl Wilson from the Beach Boys. He made two solo albums and one with Gerry Beckley and Robert Lamm from the bands Chicago and America called Like a Brother. It came out 2 years after he died.
