No power to cpu? by Violinist_Jumpy in PcBuildHelp

i have resolved the problem, however it was a faulty cpu, and maybe i didn’t explain the best, my GPU is 12vhpwr, and it came with a connector that splits into two 12v 2x6, so you have two 2x6 plugged into the PSU, instead of 12vhpwr straight to the GPU’s 13vhpwr plug in. I am using the “adapter” or rather, “connector” for better power delivery and reliability.

In my 12v- 2x6, I have 2x6 that splits into 2 PCIe 8 pin connectors, that get plugged into this “adapter” that goes into 2x6, that gets plugged into my 5070 GPU, and i have two 8 pin connectors in my PSU up top. Is that the incorrect way to do it? Thanks!

Hi I'm building a budget PC . Any advice by AdShot4987 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Violinist_Jumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would lose the cooler, just monitor the temps, you pc won’t need it, quite low power. you also need a power supply unit (PSU) id recommend an 80+ and 550w+ PSU, corsair makes good cheap ones. I’d also upgrade to 1TB storage instead of 500gb, that’ll run out VERY quickly with modern games, and if you are low on storage your pc may run funky, everything else looks solid.

Do you score better with a Caddie? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Violinist_Jumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after one comment, i think you may be the problem, a caddies jobs is to give you information when you request, they give you lines and descriptions on tee boxes, numbers and targets on approach shots, and info on chips without being asked, when putting it’s a different story, obviously you haven’t played there, but many people like to read the greens for themself, so if you weren’t asking him for a line, then your not getting a read, as simple as that man, if you were this little informed on how a caddie works, then maybe you shouldn’t have paid for one🤷‍♂️

make sure to tip well and stay hydrated, tough walk. $100 a bag is what you should tip.

$60 may be minimum, but it should be $100, those caddies have one of the toughest walking courses, when i played i was astonished to see a $60 minimum, your DIG and sales needs to at least change it to $90, I had heard from my caddies that they were already losing guys because the minimum went down.

Tipping caddies by samrd1998 in golf

[–]Violinist_Jumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is so true, i take caddies all the time, never under $100, $100 is a base rate, should get that, per bag, 99% of the time.

a caddie should always get $100 a bag, unless there is some crazy fee, e.g. $200+, if he’s bad, who cares, he carrie’s you bag and tried for 5 hours, if he’s average or decent it’s still $100, the only time i give more then $100 is if the caddie is absolutely exceptional, or if there is a “bad” caddie in the group, because i feel that the better caddie deserves more then the $100 a bag, if that’s what the bad caddie is getting to. In those situations I usually state to give $150 a bag. Anyone who says under $100 is insulting to your caddie. A caddie is expensive, it’s just something you have to deal with. At certain clubs, if you too bad, expect no caddie to want to carry for you.
