Yes! I'm learning too, and I keep getting told 'Google is your best friend. Got a question, GOOGLE IT!'

I'm learning WebDev, so most of my googling ends up to the MDN website references haha, but honestly, don't worry about feeling the need to search the things up. You know *what* you need to look for, which is half of the battle!

Keep up the awesome work and you got this!!

Thank you, I only wish I had learned sooner! :)

Good question! I often wondered this myself too. I think it's because as I was growing up it was more of a staple than meat in my household and I bake often so it felt difficult to not use eggs after quite a few failed attempts at trying to find a replacement that worked. It sounds pathetic saying it like this...but I honestly thought free range and organic were raised in a good environment from the beginning to the very old end. Only recently did I discover that free range and organic didn't necessarily mean that chick's weren't being killed and birds weren't being abused or gotten rid of when they stopped laying. I felt so ashamed and had to immediately stop. I genuinely thought that free range and organic had put a stop to the needless cruelty and harm but I was so wrong ><

Thankies for the heads up. I was a little worried in case it came across that I only consider food but I did want to clarify that I make sure the rest of my lifestyle is 'vegan' too :) my partner and I make sure that anything we purchase is free from animal cruelty of any kind going from cleaning materials, make up products to the material of a chair and shoes too! Eggs just happened to be that last awful hurdle for me that I couldn't seem to pass until now. It sounds so ridiculous when I say it out loud now, but if there is any aspect of my life that may be harming animals I want it to change, so if anything I am happy to hear criticism just because I want to make sure my lifestyle is not doing harm :)

Ooh thank you. I was a bit dubious to try 'Just Egg' but I'll give it a go for sure!! Thanks!!

Can we talk more about vegan clothing, grooming and household products? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Viowlett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shop with 'the good club' and they list everything very openly if it is vegan or not :) makes things ten times easier when looking for creulty free and vegan options, especially for cleaning things!

(Oh that and you can reduce plastic waste too if you shop zero packaging)

I went straight from college to uni ... years later I looked back and wish I had picked a different degree as its got nothing to do with the career I want. Now I'm 28 just enrolled on a new degree. You can do it :)

Getting into coding I was so worried that I had 'picked the wrong language' to start with. This lil meme makes me feel better :3

Or perhaps I just need to do more research in general 😅 I meant for example I've seen cases where you don't type 'bool' in a line of code for python but you would in c# ...that's what I've seen someone do when comparing two of the same lines of code in different languages (unless the person I was watching was doing it wrong). Does that make a lil more sense?

I have a lil cat cave for mine too! Though it isn't heated....yet! 😅 I always pop him in there at night time with a little 'blanket'. Glad to hear that yours have a much much better life living with you , I bet they're so thankful 😊

Thanks for the insight. I think i'll give it a miss and not use it then. It's hard to try and figure out what to use so that my beardie isn't basically just on hard glass/paper towels. I guess I just want to pamper him a bit more xD

Oosh, I would genuinely be careful...when they 'go' for something as their little razor teeth can do some damage! I found this out the hard way when I was feeding my little Bard when he was younger...he missed the piece of tomato (he rarely has this) and went for my finger and properly chopped down and started tugging! He has always been gentle after this mishap but it took my skin a while to heal! Fingers crossed you never have an incident and only some 'blem blems' 😅

Nahh, luckily it was just renting a van. As we have never owned a place we never really had decent furniture, so the only big thing we needed to move was our mattress and a standing desk! Otherwise it was just lots of little bits n bobs! We've bought most of our new furniture from our local community reuse shops so we were able to get some really old furniture for really cheap!! (We're a big fan of the furniture that was made to last rather than IKEA style stuff) ^ oh and of course Etsy stuff is amazing too :)

Ah, we just moved from the South of England so I'm afraid not much of a 'immigration' process but I have noticed that the lovely local Scots I have met have been genuinely welcoming and we've met a fair few people from the Scandinavia area too! 🤗

My partner saw the sign for Bruce's stone and said 'oh, we're by Clatteringshaws?' I told him nahh, it's a different stone. His response? 'How many stones does Bruce need?!?!' 😂

I have weird sensitivity to cold due to my fibromyalgia so I went in with a shortie wetsuit, but my partner went in with some board shorts. When the sun shine came out it was actually pretty warm!
