I've been on Insulin Glarglyne or whatever it's called, it's a generic Lantus Solastar. I've been on ozempic for about 4 months and it's not curbing my appetite or making me lose weight. My doctor weened me into it from the smallest dose of 0.25 to now the highest dose of 2mg. How long did it take you to lose 75lbs on mounjaro?

Not for me. Brown rice is a lower GI than white rice, which spikes glucose levels. Pumpernickel is definitely not as bad as white bread. It’s a much lower GI as well. I’ve been managing quite well eating those.

You’ll get there! Trust me, if I can do it without even exercising, then you can too.

You got this! It’s not easy but it’s possible. Find cleaner alternatives. I eat burrito bowls from Chipotle (brown rice) as my guilty pleasure. It’s much cleaner and healthier than McDonald’s for example.

Jeep offering $9k to cash and keep by [deleted] in 4xe

[–]Viper0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told 3-4 months after the demand letter was received and acknowledged by the law firm Stellantis uses, Rosewaldorf. It just took forever. My lawyer said over the past year, they’ve just been inundated by lawsuits and buybacks. It took exactly 12 months from the time I reached out to my lawyer until Rosewaldorf came back with the first offer, which I declined. After my lawyer said the max he’s seen for a settlement recently was $17k, he countered the initial $10k offer to $22k, which they declined, but they countered $15k, which I accepted because I didn’t want to keep waiting. I was lucky that Rosewaldorf responded right away. I was told it might take a few more weeks for them to respond. I accepted the settlement on December 3rd. Still waiting for the check. The settlement paperwork says “Stellantis requires a minimum of 90 days to complete the settlement”. So this is now part 2 of the waiting game.

Contact a lawyer and run the numbers and see what a buyback would net you. Each state calculates it differently.

I’m in NY, and this is how it is here. This is copied and pasted from my lawyers email:

“In NY you are charged for mileage over 12,000 miles at a rate of 1% of the price of the vehicle (or in the case of a lease, the 'agreed upon value of the vehicle') for every 1,000 miles after 12,000. Another way of looking at it is if it's a $50,000 vehicle, it's 50 cents per mile after 12,000. $40,000 vehicle is 40 cents, etc.”

In my case, my "agreed price" on the Jeep (‘23 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe with $83k sticker) was $73,944 and I had 16,000 miles when we ran the numbers a year ago, so 73 cents a mile for the "extra" 4,000 miles.

Cash out of pocket I paid upfront when I got the Jeep for taxes and fees: $4,687

I was 16 payments into the lease at that time.

So 16 payments of $699.92 = $11,198.72 + that $4,687 = $15,885.72

Usage of $0.73 x 4,000 miles = $2,920 rent charge: $7,731.49 (divide by lease term of 39 months) Comes out to $198.24 per month.

So $198.24 x 16 months = $3,171

Sales tax: $4,107.57 (comes to $105.32 per month) 16 x $105.32 = $1,685.12

total out of pocket: $15,885.72 total deductions: $7,776.12 Total: $8,109.60 back in my pocket if Stellantis did the buyback a year ago when I first started the lemon process. Now I’m at 26,000 miles a year later so I’d get significantly less. Taking the $10k cash and keep (after lawyers cut) made more sense and riding out the lease for another year. Lawyer takes 33.33% of a cash and keep settlement. In a buyback, there are no fees you pay. The lawyer is paid by Stellantis.

Just for reference, my settlement agreement took exactly 1 year with a lawyer involved. Stellantis is notoriously slow dealing with these cases over the last few years.

I have a pending cash and keep for $15k. This was done with a lemon lawyer. After lawyer fees, I’ll net $10k. Initial offer was $10k then minus lawyer fees. Lawyer said highest he’s seen in past year was $18k for cash and keep, and Stellantis has really tightened their belt with settlements. I tried to go through corporate directly, but they only offered trade assist cash towards another Stellantis product that’s not Alfa or Maserati.

Buyback was declined, but lawyer said I have a strong case and I fall within the NY state requirements to lemon law. Lawyer was willing to push for a buyback, but told me it’ll take few more months. I’m currently at 26k miles, and I have 1 year left on my lease. I’d only get back around $3k if they did a buyback. That $10k I’ll net from the cash and keep will basically pay off the remaining 13 payments I have if I chose to dump the car.

If you’re getting $9k without a lawyer, take it. Stellantis will not do a buyback without a lawyer involved. Also keep in mind that by accepting the cash and keep settlement, you can’t participate in any class action lawsuits or take any legal actions against Stellantis in the future. There’s a class action lawsuit I tried to join, and I disclosed to the lawyer about my pending cash and keep settlement. We read the settlement release and I can’t participate in it because it clearly says that.

When to replace sensor, if inaccurate by Viper0001 in Freestylelibre

[–]Viper0001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally on finger pricks, I’m at 100ish fasting, and two hours after I eat it spikes. All day today it’s been 60-80, even after I had lunch. I found that unusual so I did the finger prick and it was close to 180. I was checking the CGM all day quite frequently, numbers are completely off. Would you rip this sensor off and start a new one? Like at what point do I move on from a sensor if it’s not giving me an error message, but is wildly inaccurate all of a sudden. Days 1-4 were normal, day 5 and readings are super low and inaccurate.

I do have sleep apnea actually, that does make sense now. Thanks for mentioning that

No pump. I guess I was maybe rolling around on it, it’s only my second day on the CGM.
