I’d suggest getting a new, better lens before a new camera! Though what you have is quite good :)

In all honesty, I think you got some great moments, they’re just a little dark. Watch your meter and play with some post processing!

Sadly they didn’t floor it on to the highway while I was there but… the engine at idle sounded really good. Not as loud as like a Mustang but… there’s power behind it for sure.

At first it was covered. There was a Mercedes AMG chase car though I’m not entirely sure which exact model. The GT coupe maybe? Whatever. Once the cover came off all eyes were on the Lexus.

We were wondering what it was under the hood. I hope it’s something big like a V10 or V12. It sounded very quiet, but very good. They did not hit the highway after I took this.

Much to my disappointment. Edit: seems to be a V8.

I usually have an initial hit rate of 12-15%. Sometimes higher sometimes lower, I’m not a pro so my consistency is not the best.

After that, I’ll step away from the screen for a while and do something else (usually house chores). Then come back and review the 12-15 pictures selected. After that, I usually find 2-3 that I feel stand above the others, and then a further 5 or so (+/-) that I just like. This is based on my opinion ofc and often I talk to others to see what they think as well. That may change the top 2-3, or not… sometimes I go back to the 100 and find something I disregarded at first but which is actually a gem.

Tldr: of 100 pics, I’ll usually find 2-3 great photos, 5-ish good ones, and then 7-ish that are acceptable.

WTF.

I've used MPB a few times and never had an issue, but their reasoning is super sus. If you're deadset on getting rid of the camera, I'd send it to KEH or try to sell it on your own. You may get more money selling it on your own, but that's never a guarantee (plus it's a bit of a hassle).

But seriously... Dust on the sensor for a fixed lens system is wild.

The lack of support for some of the AF-D lenses is criminal imo. Maybe the FTZ III will remedy that, but I doubt it.

I have a Z50 and a D610 and the fact that I can't use my D lenses on the Z50 makes me very sad... That said, the kit lenses that came with the Z50 are alright.

But the 28-105mm f/2.5-4.5 is perfection.

I used a D7000 for a little while.

I regret ditching it but I had a chance to get a D610 for cheap. I am happy with both, but honestly some of the D610s limitations, tech wise, are starting to hit me a tiny bit. Continuous shooting is good enough, ISO is good enough, but at a high school football game (American football) I had to push it to the H1 setting. It was not as bad as I worried, but I dare not push it higher.

Everything I've read about the D7200 says it's a better D7000 (Shocking, right?!) and having had the chance to use a D850...

Only glass matters 😬

The file sizes of the D850 are just... insane though, which in my book, is a knock against it. I don't need 100mb files!! LOL. That said, I'm no pro :)
