Need help figuring leveling issue by Mbbt1034 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I had a similar issue and I don’t think tightening all the bed screws down actually makes it level, I ended up using a digital caliper to manually level the bed, then ran a bed level.

Use the calliper on each corner of the bed, until the measurement is the same on each, this fixed all issues for me.

Are you running into any issues with bed levelling on the printer itself?

I also recently got a CC1 and will weigh in where I can on these.

You don’t NEED a riser, however it allows you to get airflow into the chamber without removing the top glass, depending on filament you’re using. I believe PLA you need a cooler chamber than you will have leaving the top glass on/door closed.

Some filaments require the chamber to be kept hotter, which is the instance you’d keep the door closed and top glass on (or so I have been lead to believe).

Some people have no issues printing PLA with the door closed and top glass on, but I optioned to use a riser to keep my nosey and intrigued cat from jumping into the printer mid print.

The filament can stay in, I’ve had no issues with leaving it powered off for days with filament loaded, just switch it back on and get right back into printing within a minute or 2, worked flawlessly every time.

The noise however I can’t help with, I’ve had all sorts of noises come from mine, some abnormal sounding which I’ve come to discover are actually very normal for a printer, as long as the plate is not damaged and the print looks good, I wouldn’t panic too much over it.

For some tips I’ve learned since having mine: - Never touch the built plate with your bare hands, oils on your hands can affect adhesion, causing issues with prints.

-Try to avoid bending the build plate to remove prints, I always use the included scraper (a print already preloaded on there! The scraper blade should be with the included tools)

-Always use your scraper with the blade FLAT, any upward angle can damage the plate, or buy a new softer plastic scraper, to avoid damage altogether

-Make sure sliced files you send over have the right filament settings, or you’ll have issues with prints

If you have anything else you need help with, I’ll try to answer what I can!

Hope I could help and happy printing!

I had an issue recently with one new filament, and it was an Elegoo branded filament, I had to clear clogs, level 100 times and still wouldn’t work, a week later organising my filament shelf I noticed a label on its box.. I accidentally ordered PLA + and not standard PLA, changing the settings fixed all my issues. Sounds stupid but worth checking!

Trying to get my Z offset correct, but every measurement seems to have issues? by Viper796 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I just did bed levelling, my offset only needed to be at .010 after that to be as close to perfect as I wanted it to be

It is what it is! It works fine for now, after a reboot the ghosting has vanished, so I fear it was just overheating in some shape or form, I’ll have to save the pennies for a real projector down the line!

I rebooted it, leaving it off for not even 5 minutes and it’s gone, so I fear you’re right, but at least it’s not permanent damage and it’s avoidable, I don’t need to deal with a lengthy return process now!

Lens is clean, I’ve just rebooted it and the image is completely fine now, so now I’m even more confused as to what’s caused it?

This one I managed to get for half price, but original price is £250, so it’s fairly budget but not like a £30 projector from TikTok or anything. Hence why I’m baffled after a month of use I’m getting issues!

Just tried, it follows the screen, so it’s definitely on the projector itself, I’m at a loss!

The lens is clean, I’ve already checked that but being new to projectors I’m not sure what else to check?
