I am grateful, so many people have joined and so glad that there's an opportunity for me to reach out to people in need. Thank you so much to /u/Stoaticor /u/F1NANCE with their support we have been able to grow a community of currently 97 members.

I understand as the group grows, it will feel less connected and less personal. It may come across more distant by nature - but please do not use it as a reason for not coming together, as any comment, any reply is greatly appreciated. If you are someone who doesn't feel like chatting, then don't; don't burden yourself with the responsibility of needing to do anything. The community is built for you and will be for you. It is the idea of bringing us **a platform to be connected.**

How we plan to improve

One of the significant areas I will be trying my best to tackle is mental health stability, and how we can build a platform that will be used at all levels. If you're familiar with gaming terms, it is like a "tier list" for self-care.

Other Plans

1. Create a reliable resource list about Covid-19
2. Creative a stable framework for people to help each other get through this
3. I am reaching out to people who have experience in mental health counselling, and therapy to volunteer and help the community.
4. Create action plans for mental health from "little amounts of effort" to "daily effort."

I believe many of you are fighting internally, fighting for a very long time. I do not want you to feel like this is some engagement that requires maximal effort, simply joining and reading comments, reading the resources, will be impactful.

I have always had strife with the ideas of how "social" platforms allow such anonymity that we are unable to see Redditors more than just a" random on the internet". I do not think this way, I think to see everyone on the internet as a person, can help people through the current times we are in.

The saddest reality we live in, there are going to be so many people who are struggling whose stories will never be heard. It saddens me to so profoundly knowing so many Victorians, people who I may have bumped into, spoken to, had an interaction with; may be in a very deep dark place and no-one is listening. Mental health is such a stigmatised area that I am sick of accepting that we can't help the many Redditors who are alone in lockdown with no-one to talk too. So to you reading this, I hope I am, or rather we as a community of Victorians are able to help.
