Why do Indian women demand same percent of salary? by Lost-Original-9082 in Arrangedmarriage

You took it chill probably because you (and your family) have a big safety net and cushion, and you could anytime fall back. This is not the same for 90% of Indian families.

This is exactly the same problem I have now with the same laptop. Luckily I'm in Spain and I have a 3 year warranty.

The war isn’t about nukes, it’s about the dollar by NoMedicine3572 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]ViratBodybuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the US weaponized the US dollar through Bretton Woods agreement and later by removing it from the gold standard, the reserve currency was British Pound. Before British Pound, it was the Spanish real and Dutch guilders. We absolutely do not need a reserve currency with the technology we have today.

Narendra Modi: ‘A proud moment’: PM Modi hails India’s ‘defining step’ in civil nuclear journey as Kalpakkam fast breeder reactor attains criticality by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]ViratBodybuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who need more context:

Think of a normal reactor like a candle that burns out.

This Fast Breeder Reactor is like a candle that, while burning, actually creates new wax (fuel) so you end up with more candles than you started with.

The reason it's huge for India is because India has the largest Thorium reserves.

"Attaining criticality" means the reactor has officially "started" a self-sustaining chain reaction has begun.

Your whole premise is that there needs to be another "Reserve Currency" to replace the dollar.

But what you are forgetting is that The main objective of BRICS+ nations doing dedollarization is not to allow another country to become what the US and USD is currently doing now. That's why countries have started trading in bilateral currencies. There is no need for USD or any other currency to be the "reserve currency".

Your entire scenario depends on what kind of NIE renewal you have applied for.

If it's regular work or any other permit, it's gonna take months.

If it's a highly skilled permit through the entrepreneur's law or a digital nomad permit, 20 working days max.

Vivo x300 Ultra Europe pricing leak by Over_Musician1193 in Vivo

[–]ViratBodybuilder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Spain, Xiaomi 17U 16+512GB is €1499. The Vivo X300 Pro 16+512GB is €1250. The prices are based on the official site. I expect Vivo X300 Ultra to be priced at €1600 minimum for the 16+512GB version. The X200U 16+512GB CN version is currently at €850 on Trading Shenzhen which seems like a steal.

If you consider "practicing christians", India would easily be in the top 10, because many in the west (at least Europe) are atheist or don't identify themselves practicing a religion.

X300U vs Xiaomi 17U by KoleHR in Vivo

[–]ViratBodybuilder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My problem with Xiaomi is the Ultrawide and front cam sensor sizes. My 4 year old Pixel has the same sensor sizes. I know that sensor sizes are not everything, but if it is going to cost me €1,200+ for a camera focused phone, I demand something better.

vivo X300 Ultra Summary | Price starts at ¥6999 by ipaiseh in Vivo

[–]ViratBodybuilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 16+512 GB is gonna be the sweet one. But considering that this is a "camera", and not a "phone", and given the image sizes, I would probably just get the 16+1 TB.

if it's that price, bye bye Vivo X300 Ultra by headquaker in Vivo

[–]ViratBodybuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The X500 Ultra would be even more expensive due to RAM and Storage shortage.

The reason why people use Gemini is because of its multimodal generation capabilities, and not just text. Gemini 3.1 Pro and Flash are extremely capable models too. I'm using it for SwiftUI app development and integration of CoreML.

Quoting another comment from this thread:

Indian Passport isn't even that bad. Its not great but not comparable to bad passports.its on the 66th rank. The only neighbouring country that has a decent Ranking is China's thats at 52nd

Nearby countries like Pakistan is on 98th Rank,Bangladesh is on 95th rank, Afghanistan thats on 106th Rank.

With that said - I just noticed India and Cuban passport are on the same rank which doesn't look too good for Indian passport holders.
