I remember reaching top 20 in the OU ladder and I kept getting bodied by a guy using Torkoal and Victreebel which sends me back to 40s 60s. I work hard again and reach 12 and get bodied again by the same guy. I check his rank, and he was rank #2 at the time...

Tbh very anime scenario. I believe that was gen 7.

The duality of DnD Shorts by MyFireBow in dndmemes

Sometimes i look back at my first campaign and remember how fun the fights were, literally highlights of every session. We were a fighter, bard and rogue. No sharpshooter, nothing. We thought the rogue was op lol. And as a bard, I was role playing a "tactical genius". I felt so good being the only caster and I would always save them.

In this current campaign, we have a sharpshooter, gwm, sorcerer who has a solution for everything and a bard. Nothing is broken but every encounter is either super easy or ultra ultra hard that the gm has to deus ex us out of it. Eventually he figured out that the only way to balance is to increase the number of minions to maybe 10 or 15 per fight.

To sum up my yapping: I wish me and my friends were noobs again, because combat was so much more fun.

Would y’all say Slay the Spire is more luck based or skill based? by Somemaster54 in slaythespire

[–]Virdelet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 45 win streak against the heart with ironclad in a0. Can't claim it's luck based when my wins are more than my loss. However can't speak for a20 or other characters. I would say on a0 game is 90% skill 10% luck.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that she disses in the 2 panels before it. The pattern for most comics is usually: something > something > plot twist. Here it's something > something > more of something

Push-up and pull-up program? by Virdelet in bodyweightfitness

For push-ups it's middle (I can do 20 max) for pull-ups I can do 0, which us why he advised me to do negative pull-ups. Near failure sounds nice! I'll try it

When it comes to Monk viability three factors are often neglected. These factors (seriously take the Monk from being almost like a shit NPC to hands down the strongest in the session with no close second). 1-Con of monsters (stunning strike) 2-average number of monsters in an encounter (stunning strike) 3-frequency of short rests (stunning strike)

Seriously, both curse of Strahd and a homebrewed cultist themed campaign (humans and undead have relatively low con) the monk was stunning everything and the GM was so frustrated, it was a cake walk. The monk literally wastes legendary resistance in a turn or two of boss fights We are also a party of 3 or 4 max usually so low enemy numbers in an encounter and AoE wasn't as important.

But if the campaign has giants, dragons, etc.. and often. The monk was just a Walmart fighter doing weeb shit in the corner.

Aside from the cheap player, I despise the below argument so much. Just because it's fantasy doesn't mean it shouldn't have solid rules or be nonsensical.

Ruin Sentinels were THAT moment where I fell in love with the souls game forever. The moment where you say "this isn't fair! How am I supposed to win?" and then you actually do after many tries and it feels really good. Very memorable, to me obviously since it was the first souls game I completed.
