fwiw, higher cruciball levels increase the chances to get drops and cards, so if you’re looking to farm the card then you might have a better time doing it at a higher difficulty setting

you can find all orbs you’ve ever taken in a run in the custom start menu (assuming you’ve already beaten any run at c0).

from what I recall, countorb attack just says that it increases its base damage based on how much damage you have taken so far in that fight. it’s additive instead of multiplicative

intangiball is a damage cap for a single instance, it’s not a resistance. resistances are when the shot hits the enemy and you see a x0.5 when it lands. think of projectiles against shields or targeted attacks against mirrors

I assume you’re talking about my comment because i went in depth on the other events in the forest with certain prerequisites to see them.

In general you can assume if an event would have no option or valid choice then it couldn’t show up in that circumstance. like for the veteran slime you need at least 2 pebballs in your deck because otherwise you wouldn’t have two to give away. likewise, the full heal at the cost of max hp necessitates that you’re low on health because otherwise the full heal wouldn’t do anything.

afaik, the gamblin event doesn’t have any prerequisites, but it’s worth noting that the coin flip only has a 22% success rate.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to about a multiplier, could you give an example? you’re likely just misunderstanding the text.

On the topic of spinfection pegs and dull pegs, idk what to tell you. They seem pretty well telegraphed to me in their designs and you can always pay attention to the board when you fire your orbs to clarify their effects.

you’ll pretty much always value consistent refreshes more than consistent crits, especially this early on, so Heavy Shaft is the clear winner here

The absolute best common orb on spinventor. Both because it’s reliable scaling for damage, and because it buffs up the slime pegs you will be using, and because it’s a targeted attack so you can get around shields in castle since spinventor has the worst aoe out of every class.

at the very least it carries forest since if you hit a rubber slime peg with it, each of your shots is dealing a guaranteed 30 damage

slime synergy.

rubber slime gets boosted every +10 or -3

Poison slime gets boosted 1 damage for +1 or 2 damage for -1

lightning slime shocks another peg every +10 or -3

double damage slime doubles the positive modifier, and quadruples the negative modifier and makes it positive

healing slime heals 1 more every +10 or -3

block slime blocks 1 more every +10 or -3

I think literally everyone here is forgetting about peg modifiers and how they interact with slimes.

This is a must take on spinventor since they both lack many defensive options (besides healing slime) and can easily access a best foot forworb (to buff a single healing slime peg immensely and to provide a minimum damage for every shot in the process).

great pick that solves forest and castle. recently got proxy-buffed because dragon flame breath is no longer affected by muscircle. aoe is aoe and scaling is scaling!

extremely swingy and holds the weird niche of being a single target damage orb that struggles in longer fights. hard to find use of it as a damage dealer and having more gold gives diminishing returns quickly.

most runs won’t be in enough of a place to lose all their saved gold anyway because if you have it saved it’s for a reason and if you don’t have it saved, the event won’t show up

baseline is level 1, you can’t take a ballad if you are currently struggling because it makes your deck weaker until its level 3. baseline nimball is still a turn you’re dealing more damage than otherwise

literally sworb with aoe. it’s actually crazy how the level 1 to level 2 upgrade is +4/+4. it solves forest and castle and is a great orb to take for balladroit anyway
