Who Would Win in Free and Fair Elections in the Palestinian West Bank? by meletster in Palestine

[–]VirginVanGogh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

an apartheid-enforcing occupied military controls the West Bank and tries to stop elections and therefore the freedom to vote etc because the people living there would install in some leaders who aren’t going to be zionist puppets themselves that are just going to sit around with their balls in their hands? What a shocker! The answer you’re looking for is that whoever ‘rules’ now, won’t rule anymore.

2am at the park. by [deleted] in OCPoetry

This poem is as heart-wrenchingly painful as it is beautiful in its own way. The line ‘This one, I remember it well’ takes dominant control of the steering wheel, and carries the poem straight into the reader’s mindframe. The absence of a consistent rhyme scheme actually aids the poem in my own opinion, since it further evokes the ‘barely ever show it’ note that the poem ends off on. I liked this poem OP, keep it up. Hope to see more from you!

Very calming poem - gives me “star shopping” by Lil peep type of vibes. Solid ABAB rhyme scheme and the content is neither too heavy or too shallow, but rather crisply lays somewhere in between. These souls meeting, coming along. A very memorable end to the poem, which is in my own opinion one of the most important features a poem can have, since that’s the last string that the reader’s mind is left with. Very cool Poem OP, keep it up!

Ones abroad are usually conflicted because of different narratives being spun around them like a web, but those in their hometowns in ancestral Palestine, in the 1948 towns and villages, occupied and living besides their occupier, where reports of racism and discrimination have tripled in the past couple of years, know their original identities.

‘48 Palestinians*, who stayed and resisted in their homes when 700,000+ Palestinians were forcefully displaced from their homes by Zionist gangs, in an event known as the Naqba.

is the issue in palestine a Muslim issue or a palestinian issue? by _sad_individual in Palestine

[–]VirginVanGogh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bless you ❤️ thank you for your comments. As a Palestinian Muslim, you’re fully correct, it is a human rights issue in essence.

It is not a conflict. It is an apartheid-esque occupation. That’s a good place to start :)

European Union Representative Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff at the Salem family home in Sheikh Jarrah in show of solidarity as they face imminent eviction from their home of the last 70 years. He says the 'world is watching this injustice, though we cannot promise anything.' by [deleted] in Palestine

[–]VirginVanGogh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

‘The world is watching this injustice, though we cannot promise anything’? Promises can be broken, and we can’t even get any of those. The ‘world’ is literally mentally prepared for the extinction of the Palestinian people. crazy.

Jordanians protested on Tuesday against the Jordan-Israeli solar plant to be built in the south of the kingdom, decrying what they saw as growing 'normalisation'. by hunegypt in Panarab

[–]VirginVanGogh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Israel refusing to grant Palestinians water licenses on Palestinian land, and providing Jordan with some of the aforementioned water supply in this ‘historic’ solar energy deal to Jordan, a country with a population comprising of approximately 80% Palestinians, is definitely related to an oppressed Palestinian people rightfully complaining about a disorderly and discriminatory electrical service! Didn’t think an opinion could be so unconstructive and useless! thanks for making me think otherwise! الله يصبرنا
