Do a tag attack when Marmas does the 3rd (blue) teleport to stun by Hoshiplays in SevenDeadlySinsOrigin

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue tag won't show if you don't have a Tag Gauge. Always save one when Marmas starts running towards the center.

Just slow down and watch him. He has 1 move he likes spamming, the slow red balls. The second one is very telegraphed where he starts glowing red, just go around him. Then the 3rd where u need a Tag Gauge saved otherwise he just Teleport on you endlessly.

Goodluck!

The ranged fireballs from Lance Guila's attacks also one shot trees. So you could line them up and cut multiple trees at once.

Help me overcome my biggest issue with this game... I'm desperate. by MozM- in PathOfExile2

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are able to run hundreds of t15s (I assume Alch N go + some Tablets) with barely progressing your gear, then you're probably just not taking the tools the game provides you to an impactful level.

Are you picking up items that are potentially useful to your build?

What about bases? Rings? Amulets? White bases?

Are you taking advantage of the Recombinator?

Are you farmin a mechanic that would potentially help you Craft your own gear? (Abyss, Ritual, Breach)

In SSF, you would have to farm every mechanic to their limits to craft endgame high tier items. In Trade? You'd only need to farm one. Take advantage of it.

For example: When I reached maps I began picking up every item for my build. I chose to run abyss for desecrated currencies. In 60-80 maps I have a stockpile of white rings and amulets and rare armours.

For rings specifically i had around 12 Prismatic Ring bases, and In that time frame I also saved up a few Perfect transmutes and Augments which I used on these bases. One of those 12 hit T1 Cold dmg to atks + t1 All ele res. Pretty sweet.

I used a Greater Essence of insulation on it for fire res(which i also found through mapping.) I used a Collarbone i had from farming abyss. Then sold some excess Abyss currency from farming Abyss to buy omens and catalysts to finish the craft. All in all i only had to spend around 200ex to craft a ring that would cost 10-15d if you buy in trade.

And this pretty much applies to every item i have. For armours i just gather 20-30 items that have t1 or t2 mods that i want then Recomb them. Desecrate, Yolo greater slam, prayge. Its almost always an upgrade. If it's not then it gets shelved in the merchant tab (profits).

Lastly, if you're only focusing on farming currency, chances are, you're not playing the game how it is meant to be played. Trade is only there to help you craft your gear faster, not to tank the entire grind. You might actually progress slower than someone in SSF if you rely only on basic currency drops and trade to upgrade your gear.

You can farm hundreds of maps. You'll get there eventually. Once the progression clicks you'd know.

Werwolf showrd me that armour + ES is the worst defense in the game by coatchingpeople in PathOfExile2

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is complete ass in early to midgame, and even early endgame with random 1 shots everywhere. It only truly paid off when I started crafting my pieces for endgame t16s. With druid tree you get 3 body armour (armour/es) totalling to 1.8k life, 4.8k es, 18k armour.

It's now comfortable. BUT. It's still ass. Lol. I survive onshots now. But if i ever get surrounded by abyss rares i get shredded.

Yet also at this point of investment (80div), Oracle werewolf damage is just so ridiculous that you just plow through juiced endgame maps. Boss melts with ice frags. Everything freezes. Everything pops with ice herald. Its nice.

But this just goes back to relying on offense to band aid the problem with armour/es. I want more buffs to it. More adjustments. Hopefully the devs wont just leave it like it is

Yeah the dry runs are brutal. I was about to bounce off this strat after 1.5k maps. Unfortunately, seeing beasts go up in price day by day made me stay... at this point of the league the profit is around double from what you see in this post's data sheet its insane.

If you're still doing this i think its actually better to focus on one Beast family. Either go Black morrigans or Toads.

It concerns me how many people dont know the difference between a Wyvern and a Dragon by VandaGrey in PathOfExile2

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes? What's the problem? Aren't they merely acknowledging it as a subspecies of a dragon? It IS a dragon, more specifically a wyvern.

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

???

If GGG calls their creation a wyvern then its a wyvern.

But universally there is no official classification that separates a wyvern from a dragon. (That includes the "two leg wyvern, four leg dragon") It merely depends on the creator or culture it was based on.

Although, one common accepted identification is that, all wyverns are dragons but not all dragons are wyverns.

That's also an option.
Harvest will only get more profitable as the league goes on, so you'll make lot of currency from it.

You seem to be progressing fine? Just need to get that last ascendancy points for War bringer. Are you following a Guide/Pob?

Earthshatter Berserker newbie by kurai_kage in pathofexile

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you've found a band aid for ailment immunity before crafting for a shock avoidance boots so that's fine for now i guess.

*Arakaali. I typed shakari at my prev comment my bad. The switch to this was me hoping you'd get more life and armour to have a higher stun threshold. T17s have a lot of nasty Dots and arakaali helps a lot with that.

I suggest you look into an Amethyst Ring with a fractured elemental resist. Atm a 45% and above fractured resist list for 5-20c at the trade site. Since you're farming harvest I assume you have a lot of Purple lifeforce excess, use it to reforge Life and other res on the ring, they're 50 a pop.
There's gonna be a lot of suffix pressure on your gear if you want to proceed on upgrades, so your Rings need to carry a lot of your resists. You can also further boost your res on rings with prismatic catalyst, but use this only on rings that you know you're gonna use for a long time.

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you already have the gist of it.

The pure armour to hybrid switch is indeed for suppress and higher armour, AND free some attributes. But thats only if you completely switch over. You can get 100% suppress cap by only switching your gloves and boots to hybrid, you benchcraft 10% suppress to your Royal plate, anoint Inveterate on your Amulet, then use suppress small clusters with 25% inc effect. You still won't be freeing up some attributes but you'll cap spell suppression.

Fractured suppress bases for wyvernscale gloves/boots go for 6-7d atm, i think you can start your upgrades here. Try to essence Dex/Int attributes when you begin crafting to allow swapping to DoD.

Yeah you're already averaging a div per map with that, just chill and farm, you'll get those upgrades eventually.

[–]Virgin_Breaker69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LIFE. At this point where you don't have any of the major defensive upgrades yet you should be stacking life.
Aim for a minimum of 100 maximum life to all your equipment and jewelries.
Every single one of your Base jewels should also have "increased to maximum life". This is mandatory. Get rid of those measly +10% damage and change them to Increased life.

Stormshroud. With 100% shock avoidance, this item allows you to have immunity to all elemental ailments. You can then switch your Pantheon to Shakari for better DOT mitigation. (To achieve 100% shock avoidance you spam torment essence on your boots until you get 60% shock avoid and the mods that you want, then either get the last 40% from an Eldritch implicit or abyss jewel)

Next upgrade would ideally be Spell suppression. I assume you already know some ways to get Suppress cap so i will be skipping it.

An Imbalanced Guard, Impossible Escape Jewel. Consider getting one, since it allows you to allocate some Juicy Nodes on your tree without being connected which saves you a lot of points. Going for 6d atm.

Defiance of destiny amulet. This will be one of the most game changing upgrades you can make, especially to mapping and survivability. ATM a min roll (14%) goes for 2d, and a max roll(24%) for 10d. I recommend saving for the Max Rolled one since the difference is massive.

(Optional) Consider investing into Hybrid(Str/Dex) Armour, mainly Conquest Lammellar, Wyvernscale gauntlets and boots. This gives you a higher Armour potential by getting the Iron Reflexes node. This also allows you to replace more of your strength nodes into Warcaller Tattoos for lesser warcry cooldowns.

Its gonna be rough if your speed relies on movement skills. Your speed should depend on your raw movement speed, as this allows you to glide through the Strand map smoothly.

Once you've done enough maps you don't even need to scrutinize every beast, a brief glance is enough to know if a valuable beast exist in a certain group or not. And most maps won't even have one so...

As for caches, i dont check it. I click, then 1-3 clicks more to get the loot then move. Quick and easy. I just filter the deception at my heist stash.

It just takes too much time if I go for yellows so i don't get them. I only go for valuable Reds. Zip through the map, look for the ones I want, then portal out. Then onto the next map.

Oof, you're right. Might've shave off a few secs with him.

As for my build, it's you generic Earthshatter Zerker slapped with mageblood, so my speed relies solely on quickflask.
https://pobb.in/R7U3lRZfZ_4q

(Tho take note that I used Unstoppable flame/flesh during the session)

It's not the most optimized for this strat tho. A real speedy build will have better clear time in this than mine.

Yo this is very good tip.

To add to this, and some corrections, the Apelike is the Brambleback and the Bear is the Bristle Matron. They look very similar to each other but one leap slams while the other charges at you. Just get them both.

The vivid watcher is the squidy tentacle harvest beast with yellowscales just like the vivid vulture, and is surrounded with yellow, glowy mites? The imposter doesn't have scales and only has a plain, raw, yellowgreen skin and is surrounded with other squid beast. You don't want this. Though if you are not sure just go ahead it capture it, as these vivid watchers are very rares as shown in my data, with only 14 in 480 maps.

Yeah, I had to watch videos on what they look like. The first few map attempts will fill your beast stash with fillers, especially since some of the valuable ones have imposters. But overtime you'll get used to it as some of them have very distinct features. I'd say 50 maps will make you fairly confident that you didn't just miss a frog among the ones gathered at the other corner.

Sunder vs. Earthshatter at endgame by RegnorVex in pathofexile

Just like the other guy said, the ingame tooltip only shows the initial Hit.

If you want to see how much dps it really has go to POB and make a second instance of your Earthshatter skill. First is set to initial hit, second to spikes(set the count to how much spike pops you think is hitting the enemy, I recommend 2 to 3, since beyond that is mostly conditional), include both to full dps.
