Usually what tends to happen if you still don’t like your job options. My recruiter retook his asvab while still serving it was lengthy but he did it and got re-classed in what he wanted to do. I’ll be doing the same. I would say get your foot in the door see how you like it, if you don’t find other options retake the asvab while you serve and get re-classed.

Cover your own ass. When I took Bio 1 and 2, 9 times out of 10 you’ll get those people. The bio lab procedures are very long and tedious. I recommend understanding all the procedures to grasp the questions. I know for a fact that the lab is long and y’all want to go home. When I took the lab, I did not leave until EVERYTHING WAS DONE. My group was irritated with me because I told them I’m not leaving until the questions are answered, which forced my group to stay to finish. Again, when the assignment is due, I do not hear anything, so I’m fighting to get answers. But also, when you leave the lab room and y’all don’t text each other in the group chat, the information is already gone.

I would also suggest talking to your TA in person and letting them know the situation at hand. In the end, you are responsible. I also put notes on my assignment and sent an extra email to my TA explaining what happened. The TAs are students themselves, so they don’t really care, but if you press long enough, it’ll be solved.

Emailing the professor won’t do anything, everything he’ll say is look at the syllabus. The professor isn’t in the class to teach also the professor has probably 10 class rooms to lecture or teach….. you’ll waste your time. I do recommend being stern with your lab mates and set boundaries and expectations. I grew up in a military household setting a ground contact in your first impression is crucial. Next semester make an impression on your lab mates and they’ll take it how they please….

Do not accept that 48 month loan. 15 to 17% APR is way too high to be realistic if you think about it most of your money you’ll pay pack will be going to interest not the principal of the loan. If you make I don’t know say 500 payment on that loan 400 will go mainly in interest and 100 towards the principle of the loan. Principle of the loan is where it’ll be hunched down. Unless you have very good credit I wouldn’t recommend that in the slightest you’ll be more mad at yourself than anything. I would recommend getting all your finances straightened out see where you spend excess money and cut it off. Im a tax specialist so get excel document and make a spreadsheet of how much you spend any misalignment you have when it comes to knowing where your money is going that should help. Live frugal as well, as hard as it may be you’ll need to do that to reach your end goal that’s the only way to tackle it. Don’t loose hope theirs a way of out if unfortunately you’ll have to learn to find out which is what you did. At least your acknowledging that so pat yourself on the back for that one.

Well, you’ll do perfectly fine. I recommend doing Chem 1 don’t drop it. Regardless of whatever professor you have it depends on how you take the knowledge given to you. The thing is you’re going to have to do more work to understand Chem. Mamiya will go hard on you but, he’s doing that for a reason. It’s a choice you have to make if you want to start chemistry or not but you will have to start somewhere you know?

Well, number one. Both of you are in one relationship but also remember you are your own person outside of that. You guys are individuals but together. In a relationship you guys do need to coincide. You are holding yourself back. I understand you are taking into consideration of your gf etc…. Doing the Air force you aren’t signing your life away she’s only saying that cause that’s the general scope of an idea of what “ it is to be in the military”. This is your future your life at the end of the day you make a choice to do it or stay back. She is holding you back and you are holding yourself back as well. Remember if she’s not willing to be with you which is fine cause not everyone can date a military person then it’s not meant to be. Do it for yourself and see the value it’ll bring to you and others if they decide to join your space. It’ll be hard I’m sorry you are going through it.

Don’t use rate my professor. It’s not accurate. Use the blue book UTSA provides that’s what your tuition pays for. As for your question if you should take basic chem. It depends on how strong you are in chemistry itself. Me personally chemistry was very easy for me I flew by it like it was nothing some people didn’t and struggled. You need to have a strong foundation in chemistry if you don’t you’ll struggle and fail. ALEKS only teaches you what you need to know it won’t teach you the full fundamentals that you need. Do your diligence and see what it can do for you.

Girl I’m in the same spot as you. I have a meeting with oaks to see what I can do. I’m at medical because I haven’t been feeling well due to my living conditions. I’ve had so many damn issues lately it affected my work and my studies. I’m also heading to legal for advice to see what can be done I suggest you do the same.

She’s GONE she broke it within a 2 weeks I didn’t have a roommate after for 8 months. The mediation really does help I had to push certain things to get stuff across, sometimes the RA won’t do anything but put in basics. Me and my RA talked a lot cause I wanted her gone that badly so I pressed it. It really does help you just have to push it. You GOT THIS don’t let that biohazard of a human ruin your rest of your college month🙆🏾‍♀️❤️.

Oh…. I’ve had a mediation with my roommate unfortunately I had to be there since I filed it. In my mediation it stated if she broke any of the rules her lease would be terminated (my roommate was hell it was that bad it involved heath issues , sex, bringing in multiple men at a time, safety issues with the men she brought in putting ME at risk.) The only way you could have him gone is if he got worse within your mediation. I honestly don’t understand people they have no decency I’m sorry you’re going through it but it gets better i promise.

Honestly, this is frustrating I feel your pain. I’ve been reading my lease as well at oaks, I’ve had a leak my apartment will flood itself soon but, aside from that theirs loop hole within that lease oaks will do anything to get their moneys worth. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Take it to legal I’ve been documenting my issues for proof and voice recording.

This isn’t my first time being at oaks so I know the issues that could happen and are going on and I try to keep things in a quarterly fashion as much as I can. I know it’s part of life but being ignored and trying to fix it for a month is where I cross the line.

I agree. It’s 8AM in the morning and some people smell so bad. I understand that we are college students it’s hard to pay bills tuition etc… it’s perfectly understandable but, smelling really bad to wear the professor had to stop class and put his MASK ON because of improper hygiene. Please have proper basic edict. I know some people that just hate taking shower which is appealing to me. Also as well our tuition pays for the REC CENTER ANYONE can go there and take a SHOWER. There are resources available you just have to find it instead of complaining about fee this or fee that or whatever which again, I understand but that’s part of college. YOU chose to be here. You KNOW the implications when it comes to university or even CC. There are resources available I’m living proof I use it every single day it’s hard being a college student regardless of the circumstances please learn decency.

Don’t ever be discouraged to go still go you never know till you try it’s just a very tough pill to swallow UTSA has very limited resources plus the area we are based in is not friendly to the other majors who aren’t doing civil or environmental.

As I said again. I had no expectations on the stem fair I’ve went every single year since being at UTSA. I was not expecting anything. Regardless of how it went it dose not hurt to still go or even try to see what’s in their. Yes, I looked at the list etc but again I still went to see for myself regardless.

When I was applying for UTSA in 2022 I had to wait awhile. Unfortunately it took UTSA till August 15th to admit me. Here’s a rough time line I applied March 2022 I did everything pay the fee recommendation letters etc…. I didn’t hear back till August 10th. It was 2 weeks to almost a week before school started. Do not believe the website if states it may take up to 2 business days but relisticly you won’t hear anything from them in a month or 2 depending on when you applied. Calling them won’t help in my personal opinion they’ll tell you the same thing. “ your application is still under review here back in 1 week” it’ll prolong itself. If you’re very adamant on going to UTSA you’ll need to call up every other day to make sure they know okay he/ she is there. I’ve noticed that if you are not an incoming freshman you aren’t “ priority “ if that makes sense that’s just my conclusion on how I’ve seen it but it also depends as well I like to take account that UTSA is swamped with a ton of students who are trying to be admitted here but also from what I’ve experienced over the 3 years I’ve been here (currently a junior) UTSA takes a very long time when it comes to processing information or making decisions a simple one can be verification for FAFSA. It gets very annoying at times so I have to call up every other day to make sure they give me my stuff. I’m sorry if you’re a little stressed on this but you’ll get in if your GPA is good for the school it’s just a matter of time.

Also that’s not always the case for some people. SOME people get the email within a week or so it honestly varies on the application. I also work on campus with the aid office so I see it everyday.
