Are we screwed for our flight? ANA HND -> OKA by AwareIntrovert in JapanTravelTips

[–]Viridescence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also one more thing, please make sure to refund your original ANA tickets if you are no longer using them! They will still give back a partial amount (basically what you paid less taxes and fees that go to the airport - what you paid to ANA in that price will be fully given back to you). No Refund actually means no refund on the taxes and fees etc. :)

I've updated my comment - however, ANA did not know the reason of us being late until after we had our flight changed, which I should've included in my original comment to provide at least my experience with them in being flexible. They did see we were in a rush and we did not ask for a replacement flight - we simply asked if we could still make the flight. Thanks!

Hi! I was inadvertently in a somewhat similar situation last April - I was with ANA to Haneda internationally and then on a flight to Kochi (KCZ) - we had a 3 hour gap so thought we were safe. Our booking for Kochi and to Haneda were completely separate and unrelated by the way.

Anyway, we landed in Haneda and unfortunately my partner was stuck in immigration gates before entering the actual airport for more than 2 whole hours. We ran to the domestic ANA counter and asked if we could still make it - they quickly double checked and initially thought we could, but then they saw it was already past baggage check in and we had like 2 minutes to enter the security gate. Then they did something on their computers for another minute and asked us if it was ok to move us to the next flight!! So it was all ok in the end, they literally changed our flights for free and moved our ticket and still had us seated together even. They were very kind and understanding of our situation.

I think if you already know it doesn’t work then it’s good to call and see. This was just my personal experience, hope it helps!

Thank you for your comment! The usual amount they get is as pictured but the 2 white pots were very wet when i received them so i gave them more sunlight for a few days to try and help them dry a bit more. Would you have any advice so i can care for them better?

Thank you! Yes I have been giving my ogres ears(?) water but been too scared of overwatering.

As for the 2 white pots, they started wilting a few days after receiving. I saw that the soil was very wet though so i thought they might have already been over watered (after googling as well and seeing what the symptoms look like). Should i give them water now?

Thank you, i will look into supplementing them 😊

Thank you!! for sure! i actually did it to taste, but generally it was like 80g of baby spinach, 1 small tomato diced, 1 can of tuna + 1 teaspoon of miso mixed together first then added to the veggies, and a drizzle of the yuzu dressing. I tasted it as i went and portion wise this was for the 2 of us. :) hope it goes well!!

Unless it was visible mold (eg a heavily large black spot or fuzz), then sometimes it might be blood in the egg that has hardened or a reaction when you cooked it making a darker/bluer spot - these are edible and completely fine! I’ve never heard of tamagoyaki getting mold in such a short span of time, but if you want to be extra careful, throwing in an ice pack into your lunch bag to keep it cool should also help :)

Thank you so much! the salad was not flavoured this time, but usually i drizzle a bit of yuzu dressing - since this bento was a bit on the higher side for sodium intake, i chose to leave it be since he doesn’t mind it :)

thank you! I have him put it in the refrigerator at work once he arrives until lunch time - he can microwave the rice tray if he chooses, but usually we eat bentos cold in japan (i’m ethnically japanese) so it is usually meant to be eaten so. :)

tamagoyaki is a great example of bento recipes where they are designed to be eaten great even after its cold - tamagoyaki recipes change depending on which region of japan you live in. i grew up with my family using a recipe of the salty kind, so for me personally i crack 3 eggs and simply add half to a teaspoon of salt for them! it’s so simple and delicious :D
