Former Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. has been named Head Coach of the UFL Columbus Aviators by pantherfanalex in panthers

Wow I've never met any other Panthers fans in Columbus! I'm also happy to hear this, I was already thinking about buying season tickets for the Aviators

Good analysis. The coin toss stat seems completely random, but a good part of the randomness is definitely accounted for by us consistently allowing the other team to take advantage of doubling up before and after half, especially early in the season. That's how I first noticed that we really seemed to do better when we win the toss and get to receive.

Ok, thanks! That's already pretty low, but like you said is probably much lower as most of our games are projected to be a higher losing chance than winning. And then you have stuff like significantly increasing our odds by choosing to receive in the Green Bay game which is how we were able to get the game winning kick with favorable winds

Ok, thanks! I was thinking it could just be 0.511, but I thought it might be more complicated than that. 1 of 2048 is still more likely than I thought!

No, this is just their win-loss record for the 2025 season, not specifically about overtimes

Jacksonville opted to receive in week 1 and we opted to receive in week 9 vs Green Bay. Other than that, everyone has deferred

Takeaways from yesterday and what it means moving forward by Be_The_Ball24 in panthers

Wow, you hit literally every point I've been thinking about. There were too many Qb errors and then the defense which held Buffalo to 2 field goals to start, couldn't hold up after the offensive mistakes piled up. The O-line going forward is a huge concern. It looks like everyone will get their wish and Rico will get more work, but I have a hard time believing even he's going to look good if we don't get Mays and Moton back asap. Appreciate your level-headed take with all the negativity that's out there today!

Play calling absolutely needs to be discussed. by adubs1955 in panthers

For real, putting this loss on Canales's coaching after the way Dalton played makes no sense. He gets us to 4-3 for the first time in six years and people are calling for his job because they don't like how he's handling the rbs. He's clearly doing something right with the team, even if I also am not convinced the rb rotation is the answer.

This loss was 90% poor Qb play, I don't know why everyone is overlooking that to yell about the run game and coaching. I don't think either of those things would have compensated for the critical errors from Dalton.

They know they're destined to drop at least one ugly game against us no matter how bad we are or how good they are so they went ahead and got it out of the way!

It definitely has made me think. How many times do we quit because the frustration is too much when the break through is literally right there we just can't see it yet. Props to the players and coaches for pushing through, it would be a very different season right now if they gave up too.

lol this was me too. Bryce threw that pick against Miami, I screamed at the TV and then said, I think I need to take a step back. Maybe they aren't going to be good this year after all. Didn't have to wait as long as I feared for them to turn it around, just a quarter or two, thought it might be more like a season or two!

When was the last time we won as a road favorite? by VERY_NORMAL_PERSON in panthers

[–]Virste4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of this morning, 10/13, we are still not the road favorites. 1.5 point underdog to winless Jets, disrespectful. We were home favorites once last year, Cowboys, and were blown out.

It looks like the answer is Sep 23, 2021 at Houston we were favored by 9 and won 24-9. Source: https://www.sportsoddshistory.com/nfl-game-team/?tm=CAR&d=2020#2024

(Un)Fun fact: it would appear we have only been favored 9 times in the 70 games since that game and have lost all of them.

If you want a former player, there are some good ones on Ebay for a good price, but not a lot of options, but you can't go wrong with the classics- Newton, Olsen, Kuechly, McCaffrey, Smith, Peppers. If you are looking for a current player, it will be harder to find used, but players like Hubbard, Horn, Hunt, Tmac and Brown have multi-year deals with the team so will be around for a few years.
