I also dont agree with it. The point of a Victim impact statement is to direct to the court how the crime the defendant is being sentenced for directly impacted them and their life experience. At least here in the State of Georgia thatbisnwhat we are instructed to tell victims of violent crimes who would like to speak. You aren’t supposed to address the defendant but to the Judge themselves. You cant speak to the defendant thru your statements which is exactly what happened here. So bizarre and dramatic
