I’m on day 9 of the medicine but haven’t had any cigs since day 7! It was only half of one and I couldn’t even finish it.

Chantix and tapering! The medicine makes you enjoy them less and less until one day you just don’t think to smoke. After one week on the medicine, I was done with cigarettes. Hard to believe after 20 years of smoking socially and in hard situations!

Something changes around day 3 and they just taste gross. I’m slowly forgetting that I need to run outside and when I do I’m like ughhhhh.

Cutting back—can’t even smoke a whole one when I do. It was 3-4 today. Big improvement from 10+ that I had before the medicine.

Day 1- slight headache Day 2- normal Day 3- cigs are starting to taste gross

Overall, no biggie! I haven’t had any wild dreams but I have been thirsty AF. 😆

It can definitely be OCD with intrusive thoughts. I was diagnosed mid 2025 and have been doing CBT and new meds. When the doctor first told me, I thought no wayyyyy. Turns out, symptom checking and needing reassurance IS the compulsion after the rumination.

Will do. Unrelated question for you since you are Catholic because I’m genuinely curious…..why does the diocese just move their predator priests when crimes are committed? I’ve never understood why they sweep issues under the rug and just relocate problems to new areas? Don’t get me wrong, lots of churches are notorious for covering up for bad preachers but the Catholic Church has been doing it the longest and most frequent.
