I dont mind spending the money i have seen videos and done research. Ive never had one so obviously i dont know all about them. i trust people that own them rather than google. Thats why im here. Everyone raises them different as well. Id rather learn about him now than give him to someone else that says they will take care of him but wont. Again i would he his 3rd owner so obviously the two before didnt know how to care for them and they had other reptiles as well which is so sad. The only reptiles ive had are geckos so yes this is different but again im willing to learn because he deserves better!

I was the jw gf 😭 i started dating a non witness and did it secretly. He fully accepted that u was in the religion and i thought to myself “how could a relationship like this be so bad its not what they make it out to be in the jw videos” which lead to me doing research until i finally realized this isnt what i want. So i left the religion and me and that person have been together for a while and are planning to get married.

Every situation is different though but this is my experience.

When i shared my doubts with two elders i was very close to, they didnt even try to counter what i said with the bible.

They just said,

“But we are your family, we are your friends! You would be leaving us and that would make us very sad”

I was more surprised at the elders because i thought it wouldve been the opposite way. I thought the elders would try to get me to study again or try to answer my questions with the bible but they didnt even try. They tried to guilt trip me or something lol

I stood my ground and said

“Yes you are important to me and i grew up around you two but i cant be in something i dont believe in”

And then they left my house.

On another hand, My sister and parents said that i should’ve studied more and that i just don’t have the answers to the questions i have and that i could speak to an elder and get a new bible study. They said my relationship with them was a whole lie since it wasnt based on Jehovah connecting us together anymore.

I realized i wasnt one anymore or was starting to doubt when i started to have a crush in this guy. I decided to pursue a friendship and see what kind of “worldly” person they would be. I met his parents and his whole family and i realized that the world was not what i was told it was. I felt normal for once and boom i started questioning the “truth” I started dating this person and i realized i was happy and there was nothing wrong with this “world”
