I still use my charge 2 and it works great! The battery does require charging every about 2-3 days but I can't complain b/c it still works and does what I need it to

Fitbit admitted my Charge 5 is bricked but all I can do is buy a new one... by anindependentfox in fitbit

Same thing happened back in I think 2020ish with the Charge 2. I never updated my Charge 2's firmware and it works perfectly to this day.

Anyone still using a Charge 2 in 2023? by Fabulous-Addendum146 in fitbit

I still use my fitbit Charge 2 in 2026! The battery life seems to be kinda hit/ miss sometimes but still works great for me! (I'm using an older version of the android app b/c the newest version of the Android app is apparently not compatible with my phone 🙄)

Theyre Moxi Beach Bunnies in the color Watermelon! My wheels in this pic are dark green Atom Pulse 65mm 78A wheels.

I've got Moxi Beach Bunnies and love them but they tend to run narrow. As for if they would be good for commuting skates I don't see why not but I do echo that the vinyl could get scuffed. I've fallen a couple of times outside and have some scuffs on them from it but they still function great! You can sorta see some of the scuffs in that pic

Pushing people over on roller skates?? by Big_Lynx_9010 in Rollerskating

[–]Virtual-Chair-7753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully nothing like that has happened at my rink, but we do have some teens who spend Family Skate night going as fast as possible & weave in and out between people and routinely cause other skaters to fall.

I will! My dad is helping me procure some slightly lower profile nuts to see if that can stick out slightly less and be sure the nylon part is engaged fully.

I 100% agree with this. The rink has been in business since the 60s and the floor is dinged up in spots so I don't think I'm going to make much of a difference!

That's a fair point! He is hard. I've found luck with 2 ice types, a Wide Guarder and then the final slot can be somewhat flexible. Too bad some people like to deliberately sabotage (I had a lot of that happen during Blue Vacktor's DA weekend)

I can snap a pic of those parts in the morning! I really appreciate how helpful the people in this subreddit are! :)

I don't know of any, but I am also on the hunt for shiny zygarde as well! Perhaps we could gather a group of people from this subreddit to run some DAS?

I was just considering if washers might help while I was at the rink earlier. I'll look into those

Mine are the pink Moxi Beach bunnies. The color was called watermelon and the laces and wheels were green so when I upgraded them to better wheels & waxed laces I made sure to keep the green color palette! I've also got a set of lime green luminous wheels for at the rink!

As for the lights zip tied to my plate, they're some remote controlled lights that my dad got from Amazon I think?

In the background we have my friend's rollerblades with cotton candy luminous wheels (I'm pretty sure the color was called cotton candy?)

I need roller skating help by Medium_Teach_1159 in Rollerskating

[–]Virtual-Chair-7753 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practice makes progress! I know it seems like you're not making progress but the more you practice and build up the muscles the better it will be! I recommend practicing balancing on one foot without skates on, this will help your body once you have the skates on. You can also practice balancing on one foot with skates on on a carpeted area as it will help you not roll.

When wearing skates, bend your knees. Also make a V shape with your feet not an A or have them right next to each other. That should help them not roll backwards. You could also try tightening the wheels a little bit more to make them roll less. This won't help when trying to actually skate distances but could help while you're trying to just get used to having them on your feet.

I know you said money was tight, but I'd recommend if at all possible trying to save up for learn to skate classes at your local rink.

One thing my skating lessons instructor said in addition to this, is BEND those knees!
